I’m a lifelong RPG player and occasional DM who recently got back into D&D through a game with some coworkers. I owned a copy of AD&D as a kid, but I never really had anyone to play with, and when I was old enough to find others, it was usually White Wolf’s World of Darkness titles! I did play the Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights games, and have read some of the Drizzt books and a few other FR novels.
I’m presently working on some fiction set in the FR setting and positing it on sites like AO3. I’ve kind of stalled career-wise and I have always had a love for fiction and storytelling. FR is such a rich universe to play with, and with the changes that have come both in the lore and real life, I think a lot of new, exciting stories can be told!
I look forward to seeing all of you around the forums!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
