I only just found this reference in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting today. Does anyone know if this event is covered in a novel or a sourcebook? The 2nd edition Moonsea book was written after 1369 DR, and doesn't mention much of anything about Glister.
Ruins of Zhentil Keep just mention the zhents being a caravan bound for Glister.

Session Reports posted at RPG Geek. Stem the Tide Takes place in Mistledale. Dark Curtains - Takes place in the Savage North, starting in Nesmé. I wrapped my campaign into the Hoard of the Dragon Queen, but it takes place in 1372 DR. |

In The Great Gray Land of Thar, one of the leaflets in the Elminster's Ecologies boxed set, it mentions numerous caravans moving across Thar to and from Glister. There is no timeline in the product, but it was released one year after the FRCS 2nd Ed., so the year SHOULD be late '68 or early '69. Since the Ranger narrating the product makes no mention of trade disruptions, I would hazard to guess that the Zhents were unsuccessful.
Perhaps the events of the ToT interrupted the attack? |

From what I remember it was more trouble with the people of these lands, especially the Nar of the Ride, that stopped Zenthish expansion northwards, not the Time of Troubles. |
