Figured I'd ask this question; last time it was asked, around 30 pages back or so, the only answer was "nothing doing," essentially.
Besides a brief reference in Tyr's entry in the Faiths and Pantheons book, is there anything else out there on these guys?

You could try "Faiths & Avatars." I think the Hammers of Grimjaws received about a paragraph or so in that particular source.

That's the one. And I just checked it . . . you'll find the paragraph bit on p. 170.

Yeah, that's the same paragraph they put into the newer Faiths and Pantheons book. Ah well, at least we know a few things about them.
They're 7th level or higher and have a rigorous selection process... and they're paladins. I suppose there's a freedom there that I should enjoy. :D |

There were a couple of Tyrran knightly orders from the older Realmslore, referenced in Champions of Valor also. I don't have the tome with me at the moment though, to check whether the Hammers of Grimjaws were also included.

There's a paragraph about them on page 100 in Champions of Valor. |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

I seem to recall Ed dropping a few tidbits about them as well, at some point -- it had to do with Tunfer, or something. I'll have to dig through some of the older replies.

Funny! When I read the title I was thinking about the shield of the same name "grimjaw" (see Dragon Magazin 89) and some kind of shield dwarf PrC dedicated to its recovery. However, this seems not the case, so I can be of no further help. Sorry. |
