Now that we know that 4e will be announced at GenCon... it's time for speculation on it's effect on FR

I think it will be minor, not like 3E which introduced a lot of new concepts (like Shadow Weave, etc.).

Ending the 3E products with Grand history of the Realms was also a good idea.

personally, i think they're just going to use the events in the three mega-modules this year to make the transition to 4e.
which, i must say, will probably be a lot smoother than the whole avatar trilogy bit.
