Well met

Apologies for the downtime of the forum during the whole of yesterday. This was due to a major issue at the web host which affected all users on a particular database server.

Looks like we're back to normal now

I thought that they had detected that I’m posting within working hours (once in a while only ), and that the IT boosted the firewall – glad that I was wrong

That's why it's nice to actually be on the IT staff -- websites that would otherwise get blocked are left open.

I generally overlook typos... But "busty" old halls? That's an interesting concept!

I was wondering why I couldn't get on. Thanks for the heads-up.

"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams."

Well met

Aye, the only problem is that it's not possible to write a post to announce that there's a problem when the forum is down If the downtime had been anticipated to be much longer, i'd have put a static notice up in place of the forum.

Thanks to all for bearing with us through this erratic year of problems.

Well met

Oh it's nothing to do with me, my dear Victor... 'tis all down to the scribes who frequent this place and share the lore

And I think you're BOTH so loveable, and Alaundo, too! And after all, a gal has two hands, two (ahem) and indeed, two (harr-harrum), so there should be plenty to share around . . .

Oh, but my Lady, I really think you'll end up needing all of them to handle just me alone. I'm THAT loveable!

Share?! Oh there's no need to share. These scribes have more than enough on with their pennings of lore. I'm at a bit of a loose end, however...

I think a couple of scribes have been indulging in the Dwarven holy water again....
