Necromancer Games is suppose to be producing a City of Brass boxed set, but on their site they still don't have a price or a release date listed for the product, so I was wondering of anyone else had heard anything about this product.

Yeah, I've been waiting for it to be released while wondering what it's going to cost but still, I want it. :) |

I definitely will buy this!
I wonder how it will compare to Secrets of the Lamp? Honestly, that is one of my most favorite sourcebooks ever. It was written by Wolfgang Baur, one of my favorite designers, and it detailed all the genies for Al-Qadim, technically part of the Realms, so it counts as realmslore too.
It also had a pretty extensive write-up of the City of Brass, and also an adventure set in the City of Brass, with a complete poster map of the city. Plus a lot of planar information about all the other genies and the elemental planes. Truly an awesome book!
If the Necromancer version is even half as good as Secrets of the Lamp, then I will be well pleased with my purchase. |

Forgot to check Paizo's site but they list it as costing 70 American but they are selling it for 62. However, it doesn't have a release date.

Amazon also lists it as 70 but they are selling it for 44.09 American. It's listed as a August 16th release, so looks like the Gencon date is correct since Gencon is around August 15th, I think. |

It won't have anything to do with the City of Brass as it has been developed within D&D as far as planar canon goes, because of IP license issues. But as the city nominally has a real world original prior to D&D, Necro can write a book with a city of fire populated by efreet and call it the city of brass, they just have to divorce it from what appeared in 1e/2e/3e proper. |
