Is that a Mistake? Seems Duskblade will be very strong if not
The complete duskblade spell list is found on page 24 of the PHB2. The list in the spells section on pages 98-99 only includes new spells described in the PHB2. It was probably not the best choice of organization, but for the complete list, stick to page 24.
If a duskblade learns spells from another class (by multi-classing or taking a prestige class that grants spells known from outside the duskblade list), that character can also channel the additional spells. So if your duskblade takes levels in cleric, he can channel his inflict spells through his weapon. |

Really? Then they are even more useful than I thought originally. Man, how did I miss all this information?

This rather confused me too--I think it's because the first line of the "Spells" ability states that the spells are "drawn from the duskblade spell list on page 98," while the actual spell list comes after all of the duskblade section, on page 24. (I think page 21, before "Playing a Duskblade" would have made more sense, but meh.)
I would hazard a guess that the writers initially meant to list the full spell list on page 98, and when the decision was made only to list new PHB2 spells on those pages, the citation in the duskblade section wasn't changed. These little editing glitches happen all the time. |

It's optional, though. There's no reason why duskblades couldn't have orders dedicated to Azuth, Mystra, Savras and Velsharoon, or serve as a new order of Thayvian infantry, etc.
