If there were to be other stories of this type--folklore and legends of the Realms, such as people of Faerun might relate at a shared campfire or to a sleepy child--are there any stories of Waterdeep that you'd like to hear? Some bit of lore that caught your eye and made you wonder how something came about?
For example, there's an untold tale in the skeleton suspended in a magical ward near Piergeiron's palace. Another is an apparition that wanders the streets of the South Ward--an enormous, ghostly hand with a mouth in its palm, which sings inane ditties from times long past. |

| I did enjoy this tale, aye. It sort of reminds me of Steven's Ghosts of Waterdeep on the WOTC site years back. However, I'd really enjoy more tales like these. We don't get many tales any more, especially ones set in the past. |

I'd love more tales like this one, in general. The legends and myths of a setting add just as much to the setting as stories set in the setting do. That's a lot of why I loved the Ghosts of Waterdeep series that Kuje mentioned. 
But speaking of stuff in Waterdeep... It'd be nice to hear more about the skeleton outside Aghairon's tower, and I'd also enjoy hearing more about the Moon Sphere.  |

I've mentioned this before, but I enjoyed this tale and would have loved to see more of it's kind (fairy tales/morality tales).
"Secrets of the Blood..." was also a morality tale, but it doesn't end as happily for the good guys. |

Indeed, I agree.
I haven't read this tale as of yet, but just hearing this... I know it'll be one story that I'll enjoy.

I'd forgotten to comment earlier Elaine, but this particular story ranks as one of my favorite pieces from the collection. Kuje and Wooly were definitely right when they said there should be more tales like this... I love reading the creation myths behind certain aspects of fantasy worlds, and the Realms is no exception.
Great stuff as always! Here's hoping Taeros has the opportunity to publish some of his other works somewhere down the road...

Reading this story really makes me wish that the original idea of Taeros' stories would have survived. I think that the contrast of the old legends with the sort of "not quite everyday events" of the various classes of Waterdeep would have dovetailed nicely.
