Races of Dragons features Vythjhank ux Maekrix tibur Gunloda, a former dwarf, as role model for your typical dragonborn form the neighborhood. She is the hero of the first "A day in the life ..."-novel, reappears in the second, and is mentioned throughout the book quite often. At the end of the tome we get her stats - but there seems to be a major error.
In the Mechanics of Rebirth sidebar we were informed:

Other Racial Traits: You lose all other racial traits of your original race, including bonus feats, skill bonuses, attack bonuses, saves bonuses, spell-like abilities, and so forth.
But the stats of Vyth lists: +4 AC against giants, +2 on saves against spells, +4 on saves against bull rush and trip, Fort +2 against poison, Will +2 against fear, sleep, and paralysis, Atk options +1 against orcs and goblinoids, SQ Stonecunning, etc. - which are all dwarfen racial traits which should have gotten lost in Rite of Rebirth.
Seems to be a major (and very confusing) error, or do I overlook something here?

Welcome to 3rd edition. ;)
I took a look at it myself, they definitely messed up.
Magic 8 ball says to remove the bonuses. Lazy bastard says, leave them in unless you need to scale back the encounter. |
