Hi all scribes here at Candlekeep. I need help since I just realised that my group have played a series of adventures I had planed to play with them.
So I decided to make something new. A New Adventure “The awakening of the Shade Lord”
History A long time ago the good Amaunator had a champion know as “Oddone The fist of Amaunator” ore “The Shade lord”. The Shade lord wielded to powerfull relick(Dawn and Highsun) and was the goods avenging arm on toril. One day The Shade lord fought Ares (A titan) who was sentinsend to death by Amaunator, but the Shade lord died in that battle and one of the relics were destroyed.
Many years passed and the history were forgotten by many, and the good Amaunator vanished from toril. The church of Denir found a great treasure in Anuroch, a tomb(old church of Amaunator) full of “old” lost history. In this tomb there were old textures about the Shade lord and a prophet named Impular. Impular were the high priest of Amaunator and a known prophet and sage.
One of the strange tombs described a prophet mad by Impular : The awakening of the Shade Lord
- The Shade Lord is a title of a champion who wielding the two relics.
The prophecy (The awakening of the Shade Lord)
Once again the Shad lord shall rise He will wield Dawn and Highsun one in each hand
The time will come when he shall prove himself Beneath The Howling Stars Ares stands once again
He did it once but failed to do it twice The shade lord shall
A last time the Three-Faced Sun shall rise
Be aware the return of the Shade Lord is at hand……
--------- Two relics with great power
Dawn The Broken Longsword (seven parts)
Highsun The Scepter of the Sun --------- If you have any good idear´s pleas come with them
My question fore you all is :
- I need 4 adventures (Level 4-11) where they can find some of the broken parts Dawn, and it would be great if they had something to do with Netheril
Stuck and need help

Only two epic "artifact hunt"-adventure series come to mind. You could always adapt 'The Rod of Seven Parts' into your campaign, but it'd need some tweaking. The other series is of course the Age of Worms advanture path published in the Dungeon Magazine. I would choose the latter, especially because Eric has provided the FR coversion notes for it (and the issues are still available for sale).
In fact, our DM ran a *very* modified version of the Age of Worms for us. The Big Baddie in the campaign was At'ar, a primordial Sun God that had apparently split into the three Aspects (Dawn, Highsun and Dusk) after his ancient defeat by some pre-Netherese culture (an alliance of elven kingdoms and presumably some Imaskari explorers or settlers?). The Wind Warriors served Akadi, and Kyuss was a Netherese wizard-king, whose ruined kingdom lied at the shadow of the Nether mountains. The Worms were connected to the Phaerimm, who also had been manipulating Kyuss the whole time. The Sharn had also been involved in the war, and one of the modules dealt with a crypt of a Sharn clan. The whole AoW began in Loudwater and its environs, eventually shifting to Waterdeep and the North/Anauroch.
You could actually use Alaundo's or the Mad Prophet Auglatha's (sp?) prophecies, so your players would know that this is probably something Big and Important. Also, how about if you'd change the 'Shade Lord' into something more "sunny"? I know that you probably would like to apply the "Tripartite Sun" -theme into as many details as you can (I would :) but Amaunator was not connected with shade or shadows (as far as I know). |

Well, I can't speak for Victor, but he might have gotten the Shade Lord/Amaunator idea from the Baldur's Gate 2 CRPG, because that game featured a quest in which a ruined Temple of Amaunator was defiled by a mysterious Shade Lord, and the PC had to get to the bottom of things and clean it out. Interestingly enough, the dead god plays a relatively large part in that game (one quest has you meeting Amaunator's enervated avatar!).
But still, a Shade Lord champion of a sun god might be pretty odd. |

Ahh yes I hade the idear form some old notes but couldn’t remember were it came form…But yes its form BG2 /PC Game.
I agree.. The Shade Lord Champion of a sun god might be pretty odd, ill change the name. Maybe the Titan could have that title because it were a traitor to Amaunator in some way..
I really like the idear about the Mad Prophet Auglatha's and thanks fore the idears about “The Age of Worms” and “'The Rod of Seven Parts”.
Thanks
