I belong to a NwN PW community dedicated to roleplaying where a player has decided to play the character Minsc from the Baldur's Gate game series. By all accounts he's having a fun time and doing a great job of it. The problem is only DMs should be playing NPCs in this gameworld. The player points out that the NPCs of the BG series are not FR canon. There was however a book written, "Baldur's Gate: A Novelization", and some are wondering if Minsc was featured in that book. Anyone know?

i believe he was more introduced in the second book of the three for the game...
Baldur's gate2:Shadows of Amn. I just skimmed through that novel and found him, didn't see him in the first one, but again, i was just skimming the pages
