After reading Lisa Smedmans novel The Sacrifice of the Widow, I was suddenly struck by a thought. In the novel, a character who's name I have forgotten chopped the head off Selvetarm, killing the poor chap. Now, the thought that occurred to me was that said character should by all rights be in very much trouble indeed, since there is a type of Inevitable, the Varakhut, that hunts down and eliminates those who would kill a god. Now, seeing as our dear follower of Eilistraee has committed deicide, shouldn't she become a priority one target for every Varakhut even near realmspace?

| You know, I think it might have to do with how you interpret what happened in that instance. If Lolth specifically sacrificed Selvetarm and that the mortal was just in the right place at the right time in order to take advantage of this "divine game." |

That's how I've interpreted it--it was really Lolth who killed Selvetarm, using Cavatina as her tool. |
