Yes, I agree. In my opinion, even with the fact that I don't have a good grasp of Incarnum system, I find that this was the best Class Chronicles article until now. |

The numerous Karsus lovers on the WotC boards should be pleased. |
"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams." --Richard Greene (letter to Time) |

I'm not sure how I should feel about this. On one hand, I'm glad that Incarnum finally got a spotlight in the Realms, but on the other I'm a bit uncertain about how Incarnum has been changed for Faerun. Making Incarnum the raw energy of magic instead of the essence of souls somehow diminishes its essential "flavor", so to speak. It feels less unique when compared to arcane magic.
Or at least that's my opinion. |

But it make sense to me, for the fact that every facet of magic in Toril derive from the Weave, come from Mystra(with the exception of the Shadow Weave). It's only a diferent way to see the things, IMO. |

My thoughts on this are that not everything created for core D&D can work exactly as conceived in the Realms or any other setting. I try to adapt everything with as much of its core as possible, but in the case of incarnum, there had to be some conceptual alterations in order to make it work within the framework set out in the setting. I don't feel it's less unique, but I do feel it's necessary to tie incarnum to the weave like all other forms of magic. Otherwise, it violates the basic tenets of the setting. I'd rather slightly "sacrifice the flavor" of something outside the Realms to make it work in the Realms. |

IMHO, it was the way to go. Good job again. |

Agreed!
Eytan, one thing that I don't see was the thri-kreen, in the psionics articles... Why you don't include them? |

Thri-kreen were covered extensively in the Shining South book. Looking back, it would have been more complete to cover them, but at the time, the article looked like it would have been too long. |

I know I'm late to the game, but I just want to thank Eytan for a great job on this article. I love it. I'm curious. Are the classes from the Book of Nine Swords going to be included in these articles? |

Much appreciated. I am indeed covering them. I've got my FR experts going through them to check for Realmslore. |

Sweet! I have a little game I'm playing in, and I've got a Moonshae based Warblade. Curious to see what Realmslore you and your Experts come up with. |

I don't think I specifically covered the Moonshaes (not positive on this - would have to check), but it should be of use. |

Say, any idea if WotC's going to post all the articles again? I can't find them now that the new D&D site is up. |

They're likely all still there, they just don't have the links archived anymore (or at least, at the moment). I just backtracked thru this thread and clicked on the first link I found, and the article was still there. I know from past experience that stuff can remain on their site for years, even when there is no link to it (I can still find the original Roll of Years file, from approximately 2000), so if you go back thru this thread, you should be able to get them all. |

They don't appear to be on his list... But if you scroll back thru this thread, you can find all of the links. |

Yeah and that hasn't been updated in over a year, plus a lot of the links are dated because of 2 or 3 server upgrades/domain name changes. |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Glad to hear that. With the whole WotC D&D site change, looks like they really didn't do very much in regards to migration to the new set up. (Being in the tech industry, I can kinda understand that it wouldn't of been easy) |

Thanks! I'll point out one correction that one of the readers noted. Concerning "Blademaster Borrobar Starlynskor (LG male Tethyrian warblade 7/master of nine 10)" - he can't have 10 levels in that PrC because it is only a 5-level PrC. Thus, he should read "Blademaster Borrobar Starlynskor (LG male Tethyrian warblade 12/master of nine 5)" |
