hello and well met to everyone...i have been absent a while but now im back, not that i expected any of you to notice, but anyhow i have a bit of interesting news as to why i havent been on if any of you are at all wondering. So the story starts...the other day i was in my room playing some World of Warcraft because i just got the BURNING crusade, interestingly ironic if you read further, and i am thoroughly enjoying the game when i notice that my house is burning down...so i do the same thing some of you would have done...i grabbed the laptop, a power cord, and the dog. so i get outside my house and after waiting for the fire department for 45 minutes they finally get there , they were a volunteer fire department that might explain the time it took, and then after an hour or so of burning and whatnot my entire house and everything i have ever owned is gone...so here i am...back...o and i had a rather large collection of books that i didnt even read yet all burned up...yeah it is depressing i know...and later when i counted i had lost about 150 in the fire because i didnt save any...and i had that many because my cousin gave me a bunch of hers an thats also why they were unread...well thats all i have to say for now...i just wanted to share that with you all...
p.s. twas a bad january for me too Rannek...lol

Sorry to hear about your house burning down, but at least you, your dog, and your laptop are still around. (In that order or importance. ) |
Turox Antas Dragonslayer - "People will believe anything they want to believe, or fear to believe." Wizard's First Rule: Chapter 36, Page #397, US Hard Cover (revealed by Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander). Explanation by Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander: "People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

| Wow, that's a tough break... I'm glad you and the important stuff got out. The rest can be replaced; you and the dog can't be. |

| Good to have you back... Sorry for your loss, but glad that nothing happened to you. Let us know if there is anything we can do. (Difficult over the net, but if you can think of something, let us know). |

Genis, I'm sorry to hear that, but personally, I rather survive than my books...no wait! I rather die WITH my books, but that's just crazy old me.
Glad you're unharmed |

'Tis unforunate news, indeed.
For what it is worth Genis, know that if there is anything any of us can do to help you restore your lost books, you need only ask here.

Well met
I'm sorry to hear of such terrible news, Genis. That is truly an awful tragedy and is one of my worst fears. I hope that things get sorted out for you soon and life can begin return to normal for you.
At least you're ok, and you have friends here with whom to speak to for comfort |

I just want to add my thoughts and say I'm both sorry for your loss, but happy that you and your dog are OK and unscathed. |

You know... There are a couple of duplicate books that I have. A couple extra copies of novels, a couple of older sourcebooks I've gotten more than once... I can't say any of it is in great shape (there's a reason some of the books were replaced), but it's stuff I have no use for.
PM me with your address, and I'll box the stuff up and send it out. It may take me a couple weeks or so to find the stuff and actually get to the post office, but I'll do it, sooner or later. |

| Good luck. I'm truly sorry, man |
