Hello there.

I've been thinking about a few seafaring adventures lately, and I was wondering which sources I should look at for information and statistics on the ships in Faerún. I know of Pirates of the Fallen Stars, but are there any other sources?

Many thanks in advance. :)

Sea of Fallen Stars and 2e's Of Ships and Sea.

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

It's a bit specific, but Elves of Evermeet lists stats for 4 elven ships.
Part of Halls of the High King actually takes place on a ship off the Sword Coast.
However, after Pirates, the most useful for stats I've found is the old FR5 Savage Frontier accessory with 8 different ships listed.

And it's available for free from the Wizards downloads page.

Another useful source for information on particular ships in the Realms... is Port of Ravens Bluff which has an entire section devoted to specifically named ships of various types, and referencing their crews also.

If i'm correct there aren't much FR books that explain seafaring adventures. If you have the third edition book "arms & equipment" you can find a lil' bit information about sea vessels.

Because my own group has plans to go to Calimport by sea I'm also in your position Uzzy. I used "google" to find information about reall ships that exist in history. It's amazing what kind of information you will find.

A couple of times its been mentioned that Melvaunt is developing a new Raven class ship. Any info on those?

The Moonsea accessory has a brief mention about the Raven-class...

I think Mysteries of the Moonsea also mentioned the Raven-class vessels of Melvaunt. It may have been the section about the Docks or the Defenses.

Are you sure?

I checked through those sections the other day and found nothing about the Raven-class, specifically.

The old Spelljammer stuff had the stats for many sea-going vessels as well as starcraft. Speeds, hull points, crew, cargo, etc... the stuff on the ships of the Shou might even be especially useful.

If you can find any of that it could help. There are several sites for that setting, but I don't know if they would have any info on sea-going vessels.

It would be nice to have all of the disparate sources in one place, however. You guys have given me fuel for my next project.

I think you need Stormwrack its a D&D core pruduct, with lots of information and stats of many kind of ships, weapons, numbers of crew and naval warfare and tactics. It also have water/sea hazards for your game as well as more exotic ideas such as planar seas. Ahoy Cap'n!

Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone, but I use the Birthright Cerilia Naval Supplement for my naval activities, in combination with OSatS and SoFS.
