The most advanced date is the one given in the Blackstaff novel and it was the last day in 1374 |

I once knew of a site that presented the current Forgotten Realms date, I'm sure it's still out there |

We just had a thread about this. :)
It's actually 1375 due to the Horde article in Dragon. |

LOL yeah, my topic, here: http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8302
I was confused too, my fault for slacking on the reading of novels, then I buy them out of order. |

IIRC there was a date given on the WotC Forgotten Realms web site a few years ago. They took it down for reasons unknown to me. However, you have to remember though, that timeflow in the realms is not actually comparable with how time flows in the real world.
Was it something like 1 year on earth equals 4 years in the realms or the like?

See the FRCS pg. 260.
The timeline of the setting is supposed to advance about two years per five years worth of FR products. Specifically, for every five months that pass in the real world, time in Faerun advances by two months.

However, there's been times that that page in the FRCS has been discarded due to lay offs/people quitting/WOTC readjustments, etc. Richard Baker has commented, once or twice, that they've fallen behind from what was printed in that page. And after 6 years, who can blame them. :) |

Specifically, here's what Rich said...
"Kythorn 1, 1373. We haven't really stuck with our intended world progression as well as we wanted to. I'm afraid I couldn't give you a good answer about "Thousand Orcs," try over on the book boards.

Originally posted by Drake Ambrose Hey Rich I hope you enjoyed your time off! I have a question that I feel a bit silly for asking but as of FRPG what is the game world month year. I remember in the FR 3.0 source you mentioned a rough 5months in the real world=2months game time, however that doesn't really give a reference of when we should start counting from. And perhaps this is a little off topic but in the 1000 Orc novels what is the relational timeline in the game? Really enjoying the thread and thanks for answering us!
