Hail and well met!

(Please note, I have conducted a search and did not find the answer to my question, so I am placing it here. If this is the wrong location, please feel free to move this scroll.)

Whilst thumbing through my copy of the Silver Marches accessory, I noticed that no real information covers the founding of Deadsnows.

The town stat block is on page 73. The mini-campaign "Blood and Gold" is from page 138 to 142.

The only real information that I could get was that "Blood and Gold" was set during 1372, and that Icespear manor had been the home of the family for "generations" <- Pg. 142 SM

So my question is this: Does anyone know when Deadsnows was settled as a town and the first Icespear came in with his vision of a kingdom?

My best guess is 1235, as that was the last big orc horde to deal with.

I have checked both "The North" and "Volo's Guide to the North" and though that information is helpful (GO 2nd ED. !), my answer is not there.

In case you were wondering...I am thinking of running a campaign set when they were first moving to the area to settle it, either human or dwarf settlement.

Thanks,
Berwick

Also, BTW, I appreciate you assistance greatly on this. No rush, the campaign is on the back burner for right now...waiting for my friend to finish his right now, and hand the reins over to me. :o)

There's a little on the founding of Deadsnows in Demihuman Deities. I don't recall a specific year being mentioned though...

My DM ran an interesting module in the abbey, years ago ('The Soul of a Rose'). The adventure was about a demon of Abbathor possessing the high priest of Lathander, and using him against the dwarven community in the abbey (worshippers of Dugmaren Brightmantle). Initially, the high priest convinced us that the dwarves had started a war with the humans, and we had to infiltrate the dwarven compound (dug under a hill within the abbey grounds) and there we found out that the Lathanderites were actually seizing all dwarven possessions and selling them for profit (including books and flowers/roses that the monastery produced). In the end, we drove the demon out of the high priest and faced it in combat.

I just noticed that it was mentioned in the Rand's travelogue once, buzt with hardly any more information than the sourcewbook can provide. So I save myself the work and time to post the link.
