Drawing off what some other commentators have stated, I think it would be nice for Erik to give us an elven name for "Fox", or at the very least confirm that she's got one. I know that this is a very minor nitpick, but it's always been one of my major FR bugbears. Which is why you now have proper draconic names for all of the "Brightstrikes" and "Icingdeaths" of the Realms.

Personally, I don't think the name is a big deal--I usually just assume a character like that has a name in their own language. Still, it would be nice to see what her real name is.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the character enough to seek her out . . .

or, possibly, that you so despised the character and are now seeking her every manifestation in order to burn it out of existence.

But I rather hope it's the former.

Anything and everything and probably more than you wanted to know that you would like to ask about Twilight, feel absolutely free. I'll answer what I can, and offer a thousand apologies for what I can't.

May I ask what it is you like in particular about the character?

I don't think I can properly answer your question, George, without unveiling too much of Twilight's story.

I can confirm, though, that she DOES have a real name (an elf name) and "Fox-at-Twilight" is NOT it.

Also, the name "Fox-at-Twilight" was not given her by any elf -- partly to imply that she didn't give it to herself.

And the term "major FR bugbear" is just awesome.

Oh yes, Lyrna, it would be, and -- wait for it -- oh yes, it WILL be.

Ah, nice to know. Even if you couldn't help but tease us!

Looking forward to the book. Now if I could only find "Ghostwalker" in any of my local bookstores ... will try again tonight.

Ghostwalker is a very good book. Find it. As for Foxy's name. I personally love it.

When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls, whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still, that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight.

It's okay, but what I would really like to see a character named is "Badger-at-High Noon."

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.
