Final draft being edited at the moment, so an end of year release date is likely.
Ed wouldn't tell me who the mother was - and his hints were far too cryptic for me to work out, but I'm sure it's not the Simbul ... go figure.

What an opportunity for all the ennemies of Elminster! A daughter! (well until she grows up and become as powerful as her father... maybe she could replace him, that would be a shock ) |

Dave Gross: In the Sembia series, at least two pretty tough and unorthodox clerics have made an impact. Lisa Smedman's Larajin was a pretty striking departure from the stay-at-temple cleric. Ed, what's your next Forgotten Realms opus?
Ed Greenwood:Elminster's Daughter -- due out May 2004, in hardcover. Peter Archer already has the first half of the first draft. I've got 20 pages left to finish the thing.
Dave Gross: Twenty pages, eh? So you're finishing it up as we chat, I imagine. Fastest writer I ever met. What are you working on these days, Voronica? I hear Tazi has a big adventure ahead of her.

"Madness you say! Do you fear me? Are you afraid of what I might do, of what I might say? What a fascinating reaction. Don't you find it somewhat encumbering?"
Piddles assumes a deep and resonant voice. "Space...the Final Frontier. These are the voyages of the starship...Garou. It's mission: to slay Wyrm creatures where they live and breed. To accumulate more Garou than the world's entire population. To produce metis like no one has before." - Piddles
"Aren't you people supposed to be doing something? Like, entertaining me, the fascist wizard?" - InleRah
