I concur. |
The Chosen of Vhaeraun "Nature is governed by certain immutable rules. By virtue of claw and fang, the lion will always triumph over the goat.Given time, the pounding of the sea will wear away the stone. And when dark elves mingle with the lighter races, the offspring invariably take after the dark parent. It is all much the same. That which is greater shall prevail. Our numbers increase steadily, both through birth and conquest. The dark elves are the dominant race, so ordained by the gods." Ka'Narlist of the Ilythiiri. |

I prefer comissioned portraits..as most of them are done by no name "unprofessional" artist, as opposed to the professional famous artist whose art is displayed everywhere on the web.
So my vote goes to the portraits like Avaly's and Yasraena's, and Vesz'aun's.
Truly there is no "best" one though. They are well done by talented people! |
Live spelled backwards is evil. Doesn't that mean that there is a measure of evil in everyone? Perhaps it was the god's hidden joke, but why are you scoffing that I admit I'm evil? At least I'm not slaughtering innocents and saying it's good and right. No matter how you look at it, it's still murder and therefore evil. Deep down, you are no better than I am. The only difference is that I may lie to others, but not to myself! ~Xull'rae Zauviir |

My vote would of course have to be Xull'rae, lest I wouldn't be portraying my smitten obsession with her overly well
But seriously, I agree that there are too many to choose from. I like some of the established works as well as commissioned portraits. Very fond of Avaly's as well as Xull's, as we are fans of Kay Allen. In fact, Xull commissioned a duo portrait of her and Vesz'aun from Kay last month, should be completed around the beginning of June.
Yes, we have a tendency to spend too much money on character portraits, even had a few anime and chibi pics done, its our little vice |
"You scoff at the notion of a drow Bladesinger? My, my. How very foolish of you to believe that the Ilythiiri did not possess the secrets of the Bladesong in ages long past. A select few of us have carried a twisted rendition of the 'Song down through the generations. Now, bearing that in mind, will you wipe that ridiculous look of incredulity from your face, or must the keen edge of my blade do it for you?"

I don't blame you. No matter how good your imagination, it's always nice to actually see your character . . . . |

So true.
I absolutely love art, just as much as I love role-play.
I don't remember if you posted a favorite Bookwyrm? |

No argument here. Flame red it is then! Still spiffy! |

Sting was of House Harkonen. A cousin. I think he sucked, so try to refer to someone cool instead of putting your awesome hairdo down with that guy.

I think the best avatar is a close match between Alaundo, Bookwyrm, The Sage, and Cherrn. And the winner is... *Ahem*... Duh? Drum roll please... Dumdumdumdumdumdumdumdumdumdumdum.... Alaundo! *Cybal Crash*

Well, I've always liked the images for both Lord Rad and Arivia. But then, I liked it when the Sage also had the avatar of the Bookwyrm, oh so long ago in my earlier days as a lurker here at Candlekeep.
What an identity crisis that was . . .

I think I have to say Arivia. Looks really cool with the tatoo. The lightening also looks pretty nifty. |

I'd assume you are referring to my old avatar, right? |
