| Wow... That's a question. I'd recommended checking out the old Forgotten Realms Adventures hardcover, which brought the Realms from 1E to 2E, or the 2nd edition Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting boxed set. Both resources are very good, and you can get both as $4 pdfs from Paizo. I see them both pop up on eBay somewhat frequently, too. |

And both of the sources Wooly mention actually reference many of the effects and impact of the ToT upon the Realms.
I'd also throw in the Shadowdale, Tantras, and Waterdeep adventure modules that focus on the ToT, for a more specific detailing regarding the effects of the ToT upon the Realms.

I second both Wooly and The Sages recommendations, these are the main sources of the times directly after the Times of Troubles.
A few loose ideas:
Some of the results of the Time of Trouble were the Wild magic and Dead magic areas, which both the the servants of Mystra and most local authorities are interested in neutralizing and removing. There are also creatures and beings twisted by the magic gone wild; this is your opportunity to use monsters with no basis in logic or that has no real role or background in the realms. They can also come from gates gone mad with the chaos of magic.
I can also see there being a large amount of slightly crazed believers and break-off cults that the clergy of the different gods would be interested in bringing back and/or disband. These can be mad priests convinced of their own godhood or cults with doctrines far removed from the main faith. |

There are also many ideas that can be snatched from Faiths & Avatars , Demihuman Deities and Powers & Patheons . A lot on how all the churches&deities have been affected, as well as some specific events/locales. Additionally, there are a lot of ideas that can be spotted in diverse novels and several source materials (2E). So I recommend re-reading some stuff on the region you want to start in, if you own it. |
