For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Victor,
I hope I did not missed a piece of information above about that but :
Did you willfully "forget" to insert Noumea Drathchuld within the (former-)Chosen of (former-)Mystra ?

The flattery will lead you to nothing guy !
And then who said to you that I was an OLD gnome ?

This new T-shirt was already tickling my willingness...

Just tiny things within the Chosen list :
Chosen of Mystra : Embrae Alevan of Ardeep (deceased)
...
Chosen of Sehanine Moonbow : Embrae Aloevan of Ardeep. here we could also add : (deceased)
"Deceased", could we dare to add it about Khelben with no great revelation about such a secret ?
I think everybody knows about his becoming.

I read yesterday that Shar Chosen was Rivelin. But I'm Shamed to have forgotten where I read it on the web. I think it was in Ed replies, but which one ?...
I have ti leave now but I will look for it tomorrow.
Read you soon Vic.
Happy to be allowed to help you !

To be fair, it's been nearly two years (I think?) since Blackstaff came out. I appreciate trying not to spoil people, but after a certain amount of time...well, it's not such a big secret anymore. I wouldn't worry about it.

Rivalen is not Shar's "Chosen." He was Shar's Nightseer, but that's not necessarily the same thing.

You're right Rinonalyrna. As you're used to... !

Here is a quote from Shadowbred :
"While he (Rivalen Tanthul) dared not hope to be Shar’s Chosen, after experiencing first hand the power of Mystra’s Chosen, he had allowed himself to . . . consider the possibility.
He dismissed such thoughts as unproductive and continued with his sendings."

You mean is he an official Chosen? The answer would be no--that has never been explicitly been stated in the source material.

Could he be a Chosen? I suppose so, but I strongly doubt it, especially given the events of The Orc King.
