I am currently playing a peculiar(though I suppose he has good reason) Star Elf Warlock 7/Master of the Yuirwood 9. He is a strange character because he is as at home in the forests as he is at a high society function (or even flying above the battlefield, letting loose of never-ending magical energy). He even has a small quote reference in Dragons of Faerun. Look for the quote by Pherix Traeleth, Master Warlock of the Sildeyuir in the beginning of the magic items chapter. His time, like many of the most more powerful Faerunian magic users, is split between his own personal issues (the invasion and collapse of Yuirshanyaar) and the needs and problems of the rest of Faerun.
My other PC is an extremely young (about 60) Sun Elf Duskblade 3 named Orelleus Darvindusk. His parents disappeared before he was born and he was raised in an orphanage to Lathander. At an early age, he was mentored to a mysterious moonelf whose fighting style perfectly blending magic and swordplay. Unlike most sun elves, Orelleus is rather non-judgmental, though his towering intellect and unbelievable absentmindedness can make him see somewhat aloof. Like most sun elves, he is tall with bronze skin, but the similarities end there. He is about a heavily built as sun elves get, displaying much more strength and tactics than grace and evasiveness. His genetics are elven, but most other aspects of his personality derive from his human upbringing. his His insatiable curiosity leads him to study all manner of subjects from Raumathari fighting techniques to Halruaan airships to orcish funerals.
I enjoy characters when there is a sense of destiny about them. The former is extremely mysterious and while good (CG), also extremely unpredictable. The latter (NG) is much more of an open book, though his vast interests and completely lack of awareness for mundane things in life makes him hard to get by some. |

Since I'm the GM most of the time, I have never really played in the Realms much...the one time I did I still try to forget the incident, especially since the imbecile of a DM named a chief dungeon "Temple of Elemental Evil" got me REALLY scared, and then the bugger turned out to be just a one level tomb with basically nothing that was remotely frightening.
Sad story, really...
In another game, non-Realms I have to say, my character is a noldor archer who has spent way too much time with his dwarven companion as mercenaries, sort of. The pair makes quite a name for themselves. Most of the dialogues consist of one-liners (think Lethal Weapon in Middle Earth) that we got almost kicked out of Rivendell since Elrond got a severe headache. Sort of an oddball character, but major fun.
Naturally, we don't accomplish much since most of the time even our GM howls with laughter... |

I'm usually DM for my group. However, my character in Kaladorm's pbem game is a good-natured, charming cleric of Eldath, as well as being a Harper. He enjoys roaming the Dales and meeting people, but also likes to just spend time alone or with his elven love. |
Life is either daring adventure or nothing. |

Ahhh which one to choose.
Currently playing in Reefy's home campaign a Paladin of Tyr who fights from horseback. Follows a very strict lawful code, tends to see everything in black or white. He judges everyone fairly, whether they're a friend or foe, and offers his enemies a chance to submit and be judged before he charges (and when he charges, he 'charges'!! ). Riding a horse he's had since childhood which he named Amends.
Recently he was ambushed by goblins whilst travelling after a merchant, they didn't surrender but he knocked one unconscious and took it back to Dagger Falls with him. Since then he's been attempting to teach the goblin about Tyr, although he's not been too responsive yet. |

Well, currently, I'm playing a human Psychic Warrior/Adept who spent most of his young life fighting in the thayvian gladiatorial pits. He's not necessarily a good guy, but he abhors forced slavery, and is very protective of his fellow adventurers, especially the whisper gnome who frequently rides on his shoulders into combat, picking off people with bow and arrow. Recently, he received a strange message that ended up with him traveling to Sigil, and from their to Dark Sun. His best friend is a surface living Drow that was exhiled from Menzoberranzan. Secretly, his dream in life is to form an organization and eventually retire to a large estate/fort that he designs in his spare time, also knows far more alchemism than he should. |

Sir Evendur Amblecrown, of House Amblecrown, Waymoot, Cormyr.
Wizard 4, with Militia feat (PGtoF, so he fights in Mithral Chain +2 and a Greatsword), Enlarge Spell feat and Arcane Manipulation feat (LEoF)
STR 12, DEX 14, CON 12, INT 17, WIS 10, CHA 15
The campaign is now stalled (DM's wife got a baby... sigh) but if we ever reactivate it, the final progression will look like
Wizard 5 / War Weaver 5 / War Wizard 5 / Legendary Leader 5 |

Half-silver dragon, half-avariel cleric/fighter that's currently blind and missing a tail and a leg. Really. All he needs now is to get a wing or two broken and we'll see the movement penalty shoot up. That's what you get for fighting opposite a nymph instead of beside or behind her. |

I currently DM a Realms campaign so I don't have a PC there, but I do play in a Greyhawk campaign too.
I play Aubec Blueseer, a Grey Elf Wizard (Diviner) 13, and Professor of the University of the Magical Arts, who, having learnt of the existence of the mythical Deep Elves (Drow) has developed an aggressive streak and a love of Evocation (specifically Prismatic and Rainbow) spells with which to drive them back to the darkness they have hidden in for so long. |

Well, my char is residing at moment in Raven's Bluff.
Gelkir the Fearless (Haves blooded feat and is devout worshipper of Tempus), male CN goblin Barbarian 2/Fighter 2/Warblade 1
I plan him to take levels only in Warblade now on and become most badass fighter troughout the world and establish a War Academy at near by mountain near at Raven's Bluff and the time is bit after the Times of Troubles period.
He originally comed from Vaasa and was tribe's champion but then bunch of adventurers comed slaughter them all (to 'gather ears for gold' so to speak), his companions runned but he stayed and fighted (for shock rest of other players) and I did not cause any damage to the adventurers but I burned the assaulting dwarf's beard by rolling a burning ale barrel directly hitting him and as reply dwarf shattered my shield into half whit bladed gauntlet and after that point Gelkir runned wisely away but swearing vengeance to the adventure party :P. |

The last time I actually gamed rather then DM'd I was playing a chaos gnome wizard known as Gralin, who had a Kobold Cohort, and was about to get a Faeire Dragon as his familar. He was/is a very colourful character who loved discovering new things and travelling.
He's still being played although the campaign he's in has temporaily paused for a little while. |

Heheh! Congratulations for the level up!
I´m a DM in full time, but sometimes I try to play (or put a npc to help the group as a suport character). My actual ex-character/npc is Gereth Bearheart, an uthgardt barbarian, from the blue bear tribe (yes, one of the survivors). He is a barbarian 3, with pretensions to be a bear warrior. |

Mkhaiwati is a tiefling from a village near Skuld, in Mulhorand. He is male; 5’9”, 190 lbs, in his early 20’s, shaves his head bald, has black eyes, and possesses two very striking traits. He casts no shadow, which isn’t always noticed indoors, and there is a strong, reddish color to his skin.
He does not know who his father is, and his mother will not tell him. He suspects he is the result of a forceful encounter between the two. His mother, Nekret, went and married a wizard named Khepnar Sukrim a few years after he was born. They have two daughters and a son. Mkhaiwati loves his family, and his family is the only group of people with whom he can really be his own self. He also places one other being of value on the level (or greater) of his family, that being his deity, Isis.
His mother is a priestess of Isis, and one of his sisters is following in her footsteps. Only within Isis’ church did he really find peace, and he claims he can sometimes feel Isis’ caress when he meditates over his spellbooks. He learned the wizards’ ways from practitioners of the Art who were friends of his mother. His stepfather taught him the way of weapons and armor. Together, he feels he is obligated to use his skills in the service of Isis.
Growing up, other children would taunt him mercilessly for his strangeness, and he developed a fierce temper. Fighting with other children would usually leave him reprimanded, but patience came slowly to him. He became detached from others his age, and stayed with his own family. He still tends to be quiet, especially around strangers, and does not seek to develop skills that involve public interaction.
Since he was usually independent from other children, he also developed a strong individualistic tendency. He will work with others, but will sometimes take tasks upon himself without getting approval from others. He has a loner mentality, and will usually seek ways to be away from large groups of people.
He had to leave Mulhorand due to a local lord, whose children he had grown up fighting with. They are a cruel family, and always found ways to torment one of their favorite victims. The last straw was an attack on his youngest sister. He beat the brothers up badly, but knew that the vengeance that the local lord could bear on him was too much. He fled the country, but still writes back home every once in a while to make sure his family knows he is well, and hopes he will get messages back from them to find that they are well, too.
He is cautious, but in battle will spend resources to win any fight. He loves magic for magic’s sake, not for the power he can wield. He hates those who abuse it, especially Shadow Weave users who he views as desecrating the Weave, and in so doing, desecrating Isis. He also is very fond of books and maps, and will often visit any shop that has anything of value as soon as he can after arriving into a town.
He is silent, insecure around people, quick-tempered, passive near others with strong attitudes, and easily intimidated. He does not want to lead others, but is quite willing to go off on his own. He will work with others on plans and follow orders, but isn’t afraid to make his own path. He tries to channel his rage into fighting. He expects others not to trust him because of his race, and is suspicious of others.
He hates bullies, also. He refuses to learn any spell that involves summoning creatures, because he fears his fiendish ancestry can warp any such spell into ways he does not want. He refuses to do anything that also might involve desecrating a tomb, even of an evil follower of a deity.
He is generous, however, and has been known to make anonymous coin donations to couples when he stumbles on a wedding. He will also donate coins to communities for new plows, seed, or other farming implement or animal. He views farmers as the backbone of a nation, and will help at any opportunity. He is not afraid to get dirty helping on a farm. Mkhaiwati is reveling in his travels, learning new languages and lore. He has become enamored with the idea of traveling the world, and has begun to suspect Isis’ hand in getting him to leave his native land.
He has soft spots for animals, and travels with a hawk (his familiar), his horse (a Chiontar), and a dog that he found as a stray.
Game wise, he is at a crossroads for the next level. I have yet to decide to follow the path that would lead to an Annoited Knight from the BoED, or a Spellsword from Complete Warrior. He is also gaining skills that might earn him a place with Loremasters in the future. He is currently a fighter/wizard. He is devoted to the case of Isis. He is willing to work with Harpers or Moonstars, providing that they follow a course that does not harm innocents. He has a lot of respect for those who guard the Weave, and may in the future petition those Guardians or Knights of the Weave to join their orders.
He carries a masterwork falchion, and a mithral shirt. He has very little that can be carried upon either himself or his horse. His other weapons include a composite bow and a dagger. Aside from those meager possessions, he has his spellbooks, and some supplies for making a few scrolls while traveling. He is known for having some adventuring equipment, such as rope, grappling hook, tent, winter blankets, candles, etc, that oftentimes, other adventurers sometimes forget to stock up on before traveling.
Sometime I will tell you about my other character, a sun elf from Evermeet who has some similar goals, but very different approaches to those goals as this one.

I was originally going to post about my long-running character, Raelan Harpell, but I ended up posting his history in a separate thread as it ended up being rather...long...even though I left a lot out.
Instead, I'll just mention some quirky characters that others have played in various games I've run:
Jasper Drake, a chaotic neutral human thief with a wisdom score of seven. You can imagine the hijinks that often resulted. Entire months' worths of game sessions were derailed due to his antics; breaking him out of prison or saving him from angry mobs became normal for the party. The only reason he ever survived to high level was due to having puissant friends (we called him "chaotic twitchy" for a reason).
Dex'Laru, a "chaotic good" drow ranger. The player in question begged me repeatedly to allow him to play a drow, and I finally gave in. I smote my head repeatedly against the desk when he decided to play a ranger, but at least it wasn't fully a Drizzt clone. For one, the character in question was female. In addition, she wasn't exactly the most noble or high-minded--he played her more as "chaotic bloodthirsty" then chaotic good, generally preferring to solve problems at the point of a sword. While her player never changed the alignment on the character sheet, as the DM I always treated her alignment for most game mechanics purposes as chaotic neutral with occasional good tendencies.
Dex'Laru was commonly referred to in our games as "The Cuisinart". Her armament of choice was two bastard swords using the Player's Option: Combat and Tactics rules (this is before I'd actually SEEN a real bastard sword and had a concept of how truly impossible wielding two at once would be), and she sliced and diced and generally ripped most opponents to shreds.
Of course, her predilication towards violence as a method of solving problems often got the group into trouble, but it didn't seem to bother the player much.
Mandrax Excelsior, a chaotic neutral specialty priest of Tempus, was another character created by the same player as Dex'Laru. This one blatantly abused the Players Option: Skills and Powers Rules to achieve some pretty ridiculous character stats, including an 18/00 strength, the fighter hitpoint bonus from an 18 CON (I watched him roll three 18's with my dice), etc. He, too, was chaotic bloodthirsty in alignment, though at least that wasn't too unusual for a priest of Tempus.
Myrr LeMure was yet another character by the same player, a Halruaan specialist wizard, and it should come as no surprise that his school of choice was evocation. In addition to his chaotic bloodthirsty alignment, Myrr had an even larger ego than the player's previous two characters. I suppose it's only natural for mages to be arrogant, but this character got on my nerves more than most--he generally worked for good ends, but was constantly looking down his nose at everyone else; moreover, he often had a "what's in it for me?" attitude. As you can imagine, this can make running a heroic campaign somewhat difficult. I've got to give him props for playing the Halruaan mindset of superiority properly, however (ever notice how remarkably similar it is to that of the gold elves?).
There are a number of others, but I can't be assed to type out information on them right now. I'll have to add to the list some other time. |
"I am convinced that one of these days I will be able to run a regular game that doesn't fall apart due to scheduling conflicts. I am also convinced that, on this day, hell will freeze over." |

The most memorable characters I ever played was unfortunately not in the Realms, I only run 'em, as I mentioned earlier.
However, Brute is still the coolest I've ever played. For those in the know: Brute was a Stormbull follower in Runequest, and a minotaur on top of it. He was of moderate intelligence for his race, which really doesn't say a lot, aside from that he was, in human terms, dumb as a brick! And I played him consequently...
What he lacked in brains he most definitely made up in muscles. If something needed smashing, even if it didn't need smashing (the occasional door was proof enough for that), Brute was called forward. The poor sod came from a barbarian tribe and, of course, had no concept of money and barter, but with his massive size and arms the size of tree trunks, not many vendors bothered to argue. Still he was a valued companion to the party, especially in the violence department, in which he excelled.
When the party's priest tried to introduce the fine art of table manners to him, namely eating with knife, fork, and spoon, Brute obliged...and ate the fork as well, reducing the priest's traveling equipment by one fork, and later a spoon.
He had, strangely enough, a distinct interest in chess. And during a stint in a prison he asked for a chess game so that he could improve his skills. Needless to say, he played against himself and lost. Soon he became bored with the game since it was too ineffective for him. He wasn't named Brute for no reason!
Hence he improved on the game, thinking it far better to flick one figure across the chessboard and clearing as many of the other figures from the board in on sweep. When his companions came to visit him a few days later, they were introduced to a new game:
Bruling! You figure out what he actually did, we all were in tears, laughing so hard.
And of course the first rule in Bruling was that Brute always wins... |

I Was playing a CG thief Victor Ograygor. an x-assassin from Zhentilkeep. this charekter is 12 years old (played in 10 years) He is level 13, and on of the Heros from Waterdeep. He was in the Times of troubl, and in the war agist the Hord. He has a thief guild in some town, but cant tell u were, because ohter player´s might see this. He has a Shotsword (IMP) from Four from Cormyr, and 2 Elemntal rings Air and Earth, and a Noble djinn (Bowl) Hazim the Sorcerer "Djinn + 4 level Sorcerer".
if u want his History and Personality read below. I am a GM now.
One can hide in the deepest of darkness, run faster than any creature mortal or not, or flee to worlds known to none, but one thing you cannot escape is your past. The master thief and x-assassin Victor O’Greygor
Appearance: Tall and skinny, narrow face with an eye-patch covering one eye. He has long curly white hair, and blue eyes. He still prefers black clothing, with various ornaments, though in these days disguises are often needed. He carries a ornamented long sword, and a short sword, named Imp, which have the habit of speaking when it wants to.
Personality: Victor O’Greygor, perhaps a tormented soul, if so it’s well deserved. Once a remorseless killer, now each pointless kill torments his already suffering soul, waking him with nightmares each night. Before Mystra made him see the light and the error of his ways, he was unable to feel anything, and now he feels it all, three-fold. He has innocent blood on his hands, and he knows it, but what he don’t know is how to handle it. It seems that helping the poor and weak, can rest his soul a short while, then his conscience will haunt him once again. Victor is a depressive figure both to look at and to be with, and he has a quite pessimistic perspective on the world, and can sometimes be self-destructive, or even aggressive toward others, though usually just depressing to be with. When others are happy Victor become even more miserable, he knows happiness is out of his reach. He has a disregard for his own life, where not for the fact that he has a duty to stay alive for sake of the others, he would properly be dead. Some would say he has a death wish, however that is not quite true he just lacks the will to live. Realising this incredible debt, makes it hard for him to keep his pride, seldom do he react to insults, or take the honour from good deeds, now he has learned to be humble.
Victor have lived a life on the run, constantly watching his back for so long it has developed into a form of paranoia. He will try to avoid crowds, marketplaces, festivals, where he can’t watch his back, if caught within one he may become panicked. He sleeps so lightly that even a nearby whisper could wake him, because of the anticipation of being killed in his sleep. Therefore he also has difficulty making new friendships, he always expect the worst from people, and will be on their back until they have proven their loyalty. He shows signs of antagonistic behaviour when his self-pity takes over, and barks at everyone(with remarks such as; did I talk to you?, or is there anything else you wish to bore me with?) who just want to make friendly conversation. Victor is an oppositionist and an loner, and prefers to follow his own nose, which sometimes leads to problems within the party(once it all culminated in Victor knocking out one of Mimer’s teeth). On the other side Victor shows tolerance with the faults of others, except for those who don’t show tolerance, or those who represent an oppressive authority(like soldiers, officials, or priests of some towns and religions).
Past: 1335 the year of the Snow Winds on a cold winter day, in the city of Zhentil Keep was day Victor O’Greygor was born, he first 3 years he don’t remember much from, but he has been told that his mother rejected him from birth. When he was 4 his mother accepted him, but his were mostly in the care of a nanny, who apparently harboured some sadistic tendencies, further the little Victor was confined to the walls of the house. So Victor have had a troubled childhood, and joins one of the youthly press-gangs, even though his is from the social upper class, and it all ends in Victor joining the Black Adder’s assassin-guild, which he betrays for a membership in Zhentil Keep’s most powerful guild, the Naug-Orls(Devil-Worms). He were sent out on mission, but took up adventuring instead to look for gold and never returned, which means the guild want him dead. Well, gold he found along with a few trustworthy companions(or fools he at the time). He met Kishna the Cat, Irivian Entyridon, Catla Sundancer(now dead like many others),Chaine Hammerhead (who killed Catla), Marisha Moranon, and soon later Jack Blackstone(a stupid farmers boy). It was in those days he was unscrupulous, stealing, betraying, killing whom he wanted, all this haunts him now, in particular the deaths of Marisha’s hole family, which he is responsible by paying assassins to do the job him. The reason; a minor dispute. (Marisha have still not discovered this, and Victor has still not to this day told him, fearing Marisha’s reaction.)
Then the Times of Troubles struck Faeruen, and the gods walked the realms, and he was dragged in the diabolical plots of Bane, Bhaal, Myrkul, along with his companions. Then they met Midnight, Kelemvor, Adon and Cyric, and Victor helped Cyric(along with Culmaster) then betrayed them, to help Midnight become the goddess of magic, Mystra. Also, the Red Wizard, Culmaster, went from helping Cyric to helping Midnight, at the absolute last moment. It was also in that period he met the rogue Parsimon Turmercan of Waterdeep, who also helped out. After the group had participated in the destruction of Bane, Bhaal, and Myrkul, and the arrival of Cyric as a god, they became famous, and known over most of the heartlands as the Heroes of Waterdeep. This of course lead to the churches of the dead gods sent their agents to kill them, and bounties was warranted, dead or alive. And were it not for Midnight protection, would Cyric personally tear them apart. It was in those troubled days, that Mimer Silverfist, Anakin and Aragorn joined the group to the same fate. Being hunted constantly, Heroes of Waterdeep went east to the oriental lands of Kara-Tur, they discovered the greatest barbarian horde the realms had ever seen, known as the Tuigan Horde, and it was trying to conquer Faerun, again Heroes of Waterdeep participated in war and battled along with King Azoun IV himself. Victor O’Greygor now a wealthy man, started the Guild known as the Nest and styled himself the Raven. Heroes of Waterdeep was however still hunted, and fled to the New Lands, the desert continent known as Zakhara, where he met the native Isac Ibn Abassi, who are victor’s connection to Zakhara, it is good to know a native when travelling in those lands Upon return they all assembled in Adon’s temple to Mystra where she manifested herself before them. They were each given the amulet of Mystra and some received her blessing touch as well. Also, Blackstone Castle was built and the celebrations was memorable , and now Victor O’Greygor is facing a new epoch of his life.

I am playing a CG Sun elf wizard level 10 named Naeryn. I was trying to aspire to become a High Mage eventually but my party has a Fey'ri character so that went out the window. :) So basically I am a useful wizard of sorts. |

The few brief times I can play (since I´m mostly DMing), I do small stuff for my girlfriend who is starting to GM a little (and doing so quite cutely...ahem...). Therefore I decided to go easy on her and play a young, bright eyed, adventurous and friendly halfling named Alistair "Fingers" Twiddletoes (Thief/Misadventurer)who is having quite a good time in Waterdeep right now and just adopted a stray dog, that could probably swallow him whole and can, to his shame, move a lot more silent, too. |
