You got about a day.... the pools subject is a trilogy and one other book as a tie in later on. The sourcebook "the forgotten realms atlas" is a great overview of the pools trilogy as well as several other trilogies that occured in the beginning of the published realms. the hereos lorebook also covers some of these stories and characters. |

Sadly these pools books are sort of out of print. The first book of the trilogy focuses on how the pool saga kicked up, the third book follows up some years after the first pool book. The Pool of Radiance happens about ten or so years after the Pools trilogy ended. |
We have fostered trust, recruited loyalty, and gathered the faithful. We have trained thousands. Our legions can cover the land, fill the sky and travel through the darkness. We can hunt any and all that would deny our heritage. Now is our time, now is the time of the Dark Reign(Rain) of the Empire of Shadows. - High Prince Telemont Tanthul, Lord Shadow In a speech given to the citizens of Shade Enclave At the celebration of the Shinantra Battle victory when he revealed that he was THE Lord Shadow of legend. |

You could get some distilled lore about those events in Heroes and Villian's Lorebooks.
Villian's is free on the WOTC site.
Pokes Wooly, post the link. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

I know how to post them, but you do it so well that I leave it to you to do so. :) |

And I'm just too lazy half the time to put the URLs into the nice little LINK coding like Woolpert does most of the time .

So am I -- but, as I've said elsewhere, I have taken the time to set everything up in an HTML page that's always open, so I can do a simple cut and paste. |
