A dungeon near Silverymoon.
I want to run my players through a dungeon crawl to introduce them to the 3.5 rules. The time is 1367 (I think). I don't want a major dungeon as shown in the FRCS, but a smaller one.
Is there such a thing?
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Here are some ideas straight out of the 3E Silver Marches book all should be valid to your time period still.
Tombs of Deckon Thar are burial mounds for bandit chieftains, located in a hidden canyon north of Silverymoon Pass. The bandit chieftains have risen as wights under Vinjarak the Mound King (LE wight, 8HD)
The Lonely Tower located near the north eastern part of the Moonwood its owner (LE Half-Fiend Yaun-Ti wizard 19) would be mising during the year your running. Though the wizard Arbane may reside in it or another party of adventurers may have cleared him out already. Depending on your parties level you can tailor this adventurer pretty well to any level.
Masulk's Tomb, located in the Far Forest, is full of a dead vizar's magic, flying carpet and more. Rumored to be cursed, people being turne to Allips or having other mishaps.
Castle of Illusion, located in the Frost Hills, ancient keep filled with deadly puzzles and traps. The place may have maddened Orcs still in it and was eventually mastered by Malcyon (NE human Abj12). The new master summons fiends for magical knoweldge and devils for guards.
What level is the party? |
The party come to a town befallen by hysteria
Rogue: So what's in the general store? DM: What are you looking for? Rogue: Whatevers in the store. DM: Like what? Rogue: Everything. DM: There is a lot of stuff. Rogue: Is there a cart outside? DM: (rolls) Yes. Rogue: We'll take it all, we may need it for the greater good. |

Look through the list in the back of the FRCS on pages 293 to 296.
Otherwise, I was going to reccomend either Hellgate Keep or The Dungeon of Death. Both have modules in 2e. |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

What's the lvls of the PCs in the party Mace?
I'm asking because I think Hellgate Keep may be a little too dangerous to take the party through, unless they're at or past the (9th-12th lvl range). As I recall, the Dungeon of Death module was meant for a slightly less powerful party (about 5th to 9th lvl).

The party is in the 8-10 lvl range.
Kuje already had a golden idea. A 'lab' of Shadow's, where he conducted some experiments. This would also give me the opportunity to foreshadow the return of Shade.
As for Hellgate Keep, I don't own the module. :-( |
