Greetings all. I have browsed your great forums on and off for over a year. Lately I have begun to run an online FR campaign and find myself with questions that might be better answered directly as opposed throuh searching. And so I have joined your boards.
Some information on myself:
- I don't consider myself new to D&D, 8 years, or DMing, 7 years
- I have a good bit of knoweldge of the Forgotten Realms setting (as much as one can have with out reading the novels)
- I love learning everything I can about storylines and settings (before trying to tackle FR I used to be a huge Magic the Gathering fan)
I hope to become as well versed as others here in the Forgotten Realms.

The party come to a town befallen by hysteria
Rogue: So what's in the general store? DM: What are you looking for? Rogue: Whatevers in the store. DM: Like what? Rogue: Everything. DM: There is a lot of stuff. Rogue: Is there a cart outside? DM: (rolls) Yes. Rogue: We'll take it all, we may need it for the greater good. |

Welcome I offer you.
There are many here that will offer advice to questions you might have. |
"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards." "Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding. "After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first." Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay! |

Greetings again Gelcur... I'm glad to see you've now opened a scroll here at Candlekeep.
Here you will find many curious questions pertaining to the Realmslore. You will also discover many fantastic answers -- some of which have even been provided by the Great Sages themselves.
So please, take a look around. If you feel the need to ask a question, simply find the appropriately place in the library and open a scroll. One of our many knowledgeable scribes will be happy to assist you in learning more about the Realms.
See you in the library .

Perhaps you'd care to click the link to the Candlekeep frappr-map in my signature and show us where you live? |
There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist. Terry Pratchett |
