I think the only real information is in the old 1E book Lords of Darkness. It's an older source that does not have the Forgotten Realms imprint on it, but was written by Ed and set in the Realms.

Serpent Kingdoms also has some newer info on the being that resides within it.

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

oh btw Lost Empires of Faerun gives the date (-2436DR) when the thief "returns" two nether scrolls to the Crpyt of Hssthak. I think the description in Serpent Kingdoms of the place fails to give this date...

In Lords of Darkness, in the description of the Crypt of Hssatk, there are :
quote:
Party levels : 360 (Average 5-6)
What do it means ? Must the character be 5th or 6th level ?

Do you not have a credit card? The ESD of REF5 Lords of Darkness is sold by paizo.com, and nobleknight.com has a printed copy.

I believe this is the case, but that sourcebook was written for 1e and so a lot has changed since then. :)
