ok dont go wow hes stupid but i have a question if i wanted to find kwown characters such as elminster of khelben or drizzt or whom ever where do i go for stats? i mean on the d and d site theres a download for "villians handbook" and theres alot of characters in there with stats but i want to have that same kind of thing but with other well known characters. anyhow i hope i dont come off so stupid for instance i assume that its in some of the books of d and d but if that is so im on a low budget here so im not sure if i can purchase them. but if that is the case is there some possible website or something that i could look this stuff up on? oh and one last thing the art of Todd Lockwood is great i especially like the stuff where he paints/draws famous characters, are there any other galleries or artists that do more of this? hope u guys can answer -Atlas

Soldiers fight, thieves steal, bards sing, wizards cast, sages think, assassins kill. Good or Evil we all have a job. So tell me this. What the hell are nobles and merchants for?

My NPC file has all the canon 1e and 2e NPCs with short stats listed by level and sourcebook. Course that list isn't 100% complete since I'm missing many Dungeons and Polyhedrons and one 1e sourcebook, but it's a good place to start unless you want 3/3.5e stat blocks.
See the link in my sig. :) |
For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Hall of Heroes and Heroes' Lorebook for pre-3e stats and the FRCS 3e and every 3e FR sourcebook since for a selection of prominent and stat'd Realms NPCs.
Alternatively, you can download Kuje's 1e/2e FR NPC file which compiles all the basic stats for each NPC in those editions of the game. 'Tis here:- http://home.rochester.rr.com/kuje/
