Sorry for being belated, Sage. As far as I can recall, the entries will soon leap from Burntbridges to Dapplegate. Big kiss and hug, THO |

I really like this series. It's one of the most detailed ones I've ever seen on the WoTC site. |
And if the PCs DO win their ways through all the liches to Larloch, “he” will almost certainly be just another lich (loaded with explosive spells) set up as a decoy, with dozens of hidden liches waiting to pounce on any surviving PCs who ‘celebrate’ after they take Larloch down. As the REAL Larloch watches (magical scrying) from afar. Myself, as DM, I’d be wondering: “Such a glorious game, so many opportunities laid out before your PCs to devote your time to, and THIS fixation is the best you can come up with? Are you SURE you’re adventurers?” -Ed Greenwood

Yes, indeedy he did. So it'll be nowhere near as long as, say, Uthmere in the Realmslore columns, but the Free Barony gets a weighty writeup. Some BK locales are short-and-sweet entries, but Ed wants all of them to "come alive" for readers. love, THO |

Dapplegate is listed, but the link is currently broken on their end. I'll correct this post if the link changes when it becomes unbroken. |

Dangit. I get a chance to read it before I go to work and the sites down. |

Dapplegate...Is this the one where it was discovered that one of the candidates running for the position as Head of the Docker's Guild in Waterdeep had been using guild-funds to hire men to break into his opponent's headquarters at the Dappled Stag-inn? |

I want to chip in and say the BKs are my new "favorite spot" in the Realms. I'm so happy Ed is giving us some more detail. |
"Instead of asking why we sleep, it might make sense to ask why we wake. Perchance we live to dream. From that perspective, the sea of troubles we navigate in the workaday world might be the price we pay for admission to another night in the world of dreams." --Richard Greene (letter to Time) |

I really liked this one!
I may end up using Jonsra Burunmere in my campaign. She is surely an amazing woman. |

It mentions crystal spheres! Sure, it's in reference to fiction, but it's a 3.5 reference to crystal spheres!

Well, what with all this hype, I'll have to look into this as well...
Will post my opinion on the Border Kingdoms after I've read them! |

How does Ed come up with all this stuff? I wonder about that, sometimes. |

Hmmm, this is the first "shortened" entry, I think. Moon Door missing. I'll check with Ed. I may be misremembering, and have it confused with another locale. And, R-F, we Knights ALL wonder that. What's lovely is hearing Ed spin plots, character names, and Realmslore details off the top of his head, at full speed, when he's on the phone with other Realms designers. Out of professional ethics, I usually "fade" out of earshot, but I can't move fast enough to get well away before Ed's in full flood . . . Er, so to speak. love, THO |

Sounds like he's got a real gift--no other way to explain it. |

I agree with Rino. I have somewhat of a knack for being creative - but I'm horrible at the improv aspect! I could never do that. I guess Ed has a few more levels in Bard than I. ;) |

Yeah, I don't think I could just rattle stuff off the top of my head like that, myself. I'm glad Ed's able to do it though! |

Hmm, are there more Border Kingdom articles forthcoming? They seemed to have stopped for the moment. |
