Interesting. Looks like they are still reviewing old products for errata. I wonder if this attitude extends to realmslore? I've got some fixes for CoV and SK ...

The Magic of Faerūn errata itself contains an error.

One of the corrections reads...
Page 5: Paragraph 2, sentence 2
Change: Myrkul
To: Helm

That would change the sentence to read...
"This was proven in the Year of Shadows (1358 DR) when she was slain in Waterdeep in battle with Helm and other powerful beings."

The sentence is needs to be completely reworked. Mystra confronted and was "slain" by Helm (alone) in what became known as the Helmlands outside of Cormyr. This occured neither in Waterdeep or with help from 'other powerful beings'.

Funny they would be putting this out right now.

The same day they released an errate for "Lords of the Iron Fortress" (a 3.0 adventure) and the only change is that one creature has its DR bumped from 20/+3 to 20/+4!!!

Considering that these DR were converted to 15/magic with 3.5, March 2006 is a strange time to put that kind of Errata out...

So I am only marginally surprised that you found this mistake in the Errata for MoF. It feels like these are old half-done errata that had been lost on a hard drive and someone just retrieved them and felt bad about not sharing them with the world...
