A Zhentish agent hires a band of goblin worg-riders to harry rival interests in a given area. For various reasons, these goblins are unusually well-organised and -trained, to the point where a base-grade 'grunt' is a Ftr4 (and the good news only gets better). What sort of pay-rate would such skilled warriors command? Would a hero finding a string of fifty newly-minted silver talons on a gobllin's body think it enough to cover a retainer longer than a tenday?

D&D collection: Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide, Monster Manual I, Complete Arcane, Arms & Equipment Guide.
FR sourcebook collection: Dragons of Faerūn, Faiths & Pantheons, FRCS, Lords of Darkness, Monsters of Faerūn, Player's Guide to Faerūn, Power of Faerūn, Races of Faerūn, Silver Marches.
I just got back into this, okay? Give me time (or better yet money) - I'll catch up soon enough. |

Using the Hirleings section of the DMG and using the Mercenary Leader system for your above average grunts
Each 4th level goblin could expect 12sp PER DAY |

This is what I get for not reading all of the SRD. Thanks - I'll go and look that up for more details before I make myself look even more foolish. |
