I think it would be great if they make another Best of the Realms novel and have it be all the FR short stories that appeared in Dragon magazine (or the best of them if there are too many, which I don't know since I don't have all of them). Who here agrees with me?

I'd certainly like to see online fiction from the authors made into an anthology, without a doubt.
Well, we've seen a little of that already -- with the Best of Ed collection -- tales previously published online at WotC, by Ed, were included in the anthology.
But I'm also for an anthology collecting the Realms stories published in DRAGON. 'Tis a good idea .

From what Elaine said about Phil Athans wanting to get as much as possible into her Best of the Realms-volume, we can probably hope for most of her stuff from DRAGON being in it. (I seem to recall her saying that Stolen Dreams was hanging loose, though, since it takes place simultaneously with the short story from Realms of Mystery. |

Not me - the guy in the picture . It's a portrait of Taeros Hawkwinter, taken from Elaine's New Olamn-article in Dragon #335, drawn by Vincent Dutrait.
Hmm...time to go back on topic, perhaps?

I think a best of dragons magazine short stories, pertaining to the realms, or even the generic stuff would be great. I can envision a coffee table style of tome set out and ready for any sage, future sage, or visitor of a sage to sift through. Could even be set up in chapters pertaining to to various like subjects, such as wyrms of the north. |

I should probably point out that this looks nothing like Taeros, who is in his early twenties, with very dark brown hair and grey eyes.
The following link leads to a portray by Kay Allen, which, although it depicts another character, is very close to my image of Taeros.

Yeah, that one definately looks a bit more like I imagined Taeros (and the rest of the Gemcloaks for that matter) when I read the book.
Hmm...wonder if Dragon does retcons for the pdf-versions of their old issues . |

I would agree with Elaine's depiction of this character. I just started reading the most recent cities novel and by just the feel of the story so far, I would not picture him as the avatar you chose, but good picture anyways Kajehase.
Oh and just to stay on topic , I would love to see a sort of anniversary of dragon type book put out, that covered maybe even a fan based vote of favorites. |
