I picked mine because the picture fits the name "Chosen of Bane" and the picture of Fzoul from the FRCS is not available as an avatar on this site.

I picked mine because I run images off, most of the time. *Wink*

Though I could craft one if I wanted to.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

I chose this avatar when I was still on the WotC forums, long before I discovered this site or was banned from the other. I picked it because it was silly-looking, and the closest thing they had to a hamster.

When I first came over here, I used the avatar of Danilo Thann. Big Al declined my first request to go to the current avatar, but after a while, he relented.

And because I like my avatar, I'll say this: Big Al is a good guy.

Yup. 'Tis a tale I've related more than once, most recently somewhere in this thread: the tale of my banning

I've just changed mine because I've been doing some musing on Erevis Cale. I thought it was appropriate.

I picked mine because A) It's quite close to how I actually look, and B) I like Danilo

Edit. And C) Because I felt it was time for a change, so I made myself a new one, making whatever I said above somewhat incomprehensible

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

I like Arilyn. I look nothing like her. Which is probably a good thing because I'm neither half-elven nor female.

Of course I look nothing like my avatar. It suits the character that I made. Sadie (Sadonayerah Odrydin) is a drow elf that I RPed with when I first started DnD/FR. Originally it's Viconia I think from BG2 SoA. And the Bookwyrm suggested that I change my avatar to this. If I recall that correctly....

"What's that," asked Mogget.
"Sardines," said Sam. "I knew they were standard rations, so I got a few tins for you."
"What are sardines?" Moggest asked suspiciously. "And why is there a key? Is this some sort of Abhorsen joke?"

You don't want to ask me this question. Many of my fellow scribes "appreciate" the doppelganger-like qualities that are inherent within the square of my avatar image box .

Indeed... For a while there, Sage was changing his avatar as frequently as Danilo Thann changes his outfits.

I still liked that kender-looking one best.

I chose this avatar as I liked the shades and the Shadovar, cloaked and hooded, being able to see where others can't see one's face. This one almost fitted Telamont appearance.

I chose my first avatar initially to look like my visualisation of Gerath Hoan (a Realms NPC I created a long time ago, who was a canny aging merchant my players ran into), but when I gained promotion to Scribe, I picked this avatar because it looked like the same figure in a hooded robe, as I'd imagine a scribe of Candlekeep to look.

Interestingly enough, Gerath Hoan's last cameo in my FR campaign was as a Scribe in Candlekeep. The halls here have influenced my interpretation of the character so much that changes here have made changes in my home campaign!

That sounds workable... But while we will know if that gets you another star, we won't know if that's another title... The only other person anywhere close to that total is me, so the title question will remain for a while (unless Big Al speaks up).

Hmmm... Indeed. It won't be revealed for us, since the MODERATOR title is now active and takes the place of "Great Reader".

But I don't think Big Al is going to put our minds to rest any time soon on this issue .

My avatar was chosen to make me look thinner.

No, thanks to a July release of a novel, I thought this wizard's sigil was appropriate for me. Thanks again to Wooly Rupert for providing it and Alaundo for approving its use.

I've already discussed why I picked this avatar before - - to make it short, it is an image of Lady Kazandra, a Ravenloft NPC who was head of the evil Kargatane organisation. The Sage's PC - - Rastromo Meradoc - - eventually slew her and ended the threat of the Kargatane for a time, but not before she delivered a final blow upon the great loremaster of Kartakass and left him partially crippled (and thus promoting the character to the level of an NPC).

-- That aside, I'm thinking about changing mine. I wouldn't mind something like Steven's, but I'm not sure which wizard/wizardress would be appropriate for me (and I don't recall Kazandra have a personal sigil in RL).
