I find it weird that more (Realms) people like Aasimars than those who like Tieflings, but Tieflings are the ones that are becoming a core race in 4e. |

Not me. Although I think planetouched races in general have been overrepresented. |

I personally prefer Tieflings, but it is all BG2's fault. |

I prefer Tieflings myself...but in my case it's all Valen's (NWN: HotU) fault! |

I'm fond of most of the races, though I must say Air Genasi take the cake for me. They're adventurers by nature, and that's what the game is all about. Tieflings, when they're not the stereotypical megalomanic, fiend-worshipping lord of evil -type, are also brilliant. They're outcasts for a good reason, and have a lot of potential for character developement. I like Planescape a lot, myself. |

Though I have no experience with planetouched, I like the aasimars followed closely by the fire genasi. |
Anyone who likes to read something that's really dark and gritty and completely awesome ought to read The Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks. You can check out a little taste at www.BrentWeeks.com I should probably warn you, though, that it is definitely not PG-13 :-D
He also started a new Trilogy with Black Prism, which may even surpass the Night Angel Trilogy in its awesomeness.

Tiefling. I always love seeing a being prove that environment is the true hand that shapes an individual. |

If you have a copy of Races of Faerūn, you'll find most of what you need inside...
You'll also find that issues #293 and #297 of DRAGON provide a selection 3e stats for genasi. Specifically, the #293 article discusses genasi from the Earth, Air, Fire and Water planes. The #297 article covers both para-genasi:- Ice, Magma, Ooze, Smoke... and quasi-genasi:- Dust and Steam.
Otherwise... I suggest you look over the "The Roaming Genasi Tavern." See here:- http://users.erols.com/aburner/planescape/

IIRC, Fiend Folio have some alternate planetouched, too. (mine was burrowed by a DM-friend, that want to use some new critters to storm his players
Well, my vote goes to the aasimar. I love celestial stuff (with this in mind, celadrins are my second choice). |

Lol. The monster manual has simplified rules, but no different ones. I did a search yesterday on the consolidated lists and realized that the Fiend Folio has some, but thank you all the same Chosen of Moradin. I need to go through my copy and take a gander. IIRC, there are also Mephlings in the Planar Handbook, and Gloamings from Underdark are planetouched from the Plane of Shadow. |

I'll go with Earth Genasi hands down in general and the general theme and tone of them. Tanarukk are great beast however and I give them a close second. |
Sure wish we could get a conversion for the Yellow Dragon! |
