I have recently bought a new 19 inch flatscreen monitor for my PC. But with such a beauty comes the problem of finding wallpapers suitable for such high definition. Do anybody know some sites where i can find such Forgotten Realms wallpapers?

What resolution are we talking here? 1600x1200? Something widescreen? |

I've not seen a single Realms wallpaper that I like. In fact, I've not seen a single fantasy wallpaper that I really liked...
I've stated more than once that I prefer the older, TSR artwork to the new stuff. I'd love to find some Larry Elmore wallpapers... Particularly his cover art for FR9 The Bloodstone Lands. He has some wallpapers on his site, but there's only four of them, none are Realms-specific, and they're not free. |

Hello-
Truly - some of the older artwork is better IMHO too. Larry Elmore, and Keith Parkinson are two of the best. For non-TSR/WOTC artwork - I also like Michael Whelan a whole lot. Don Maitz is another older artist I enjoy.
I'll have to look into something like that when I replace my computer. :)

I am collecting the D&D Minis. I would be more than willing to trade with people. You can send me a PM here with your email listed - and I can send you my minis list. Thanks!
Successfully traded with Xysma! |

Very true Woolster... very true.
I know we've both commented on our love for Elmore's art more than once... so it should come as no surprise to many when I say that I have yet to find a 3e FR artist who even comes close to Elmore's level.
A particular favorite for me is the cover for the "Guide to the Savage Frontier" in The North boxed set. It always gives me a little bit of a laugh... .

Thats a little something to get me started. But it is hard to find good quality fantasy wallpapers... Have searched the web for what seems like an eternity. |

From my own experiences, I think the best way to find them would be to find a decent site or two, and then follow the affiliated links. One of my favorite wallpaper sites I discovered by following links from other sites. |

As always, the vast majority of that sort of stuff is largely of Japanese/Asian origin...for example, I currently have a simply beautiful wallpaper derived from the game "Magna Carta: The Phantom of Avalanche". |

Also, visit the websites of popular (and sometimes lesser known) fantasy artists. Sometimes they allow visitors to sample their works or provide visitors with some free wallpapers available for download.

Haven't heard much on that game, but what little I have seen of the art from it, is just gorgeous. |

Yes; I've been looking desperately for the PS2 sequel and hoping fervently someone will translate the game itself into English. |

So that isn't the one that has been in the game magazine ads? The one that has been in the ads is a sequel? |

Yes, it's a sequel to a Korean PC game that was never released in NA or even translated to English. I'd bet money that the sequel stands fairly well by itself, then, as opposed to something like the Xenosaga games. |

That looks cool. And without the text usually disturbing the design of the wawllpaper. Good job. |
