Just wondered if anyone on these forums worked on the FR Encyclopedia Project run by TSR a few years back?

I was a "research consultant" on the project for its duration until it was sadly abandoned by WotC, and in that time I worked on:

"Vision" - Short story from Realms of Infamy
Giantcraft
Silver Shadows
Throne of Bloodstone

and I couple of others which I cant remember at the moment

Ah the unfortunate stillborn grand project. Hopefully someone in WotC will find it and dust it off.

Otherwise they could find maybe some Candlekeep scribes to do it. They have been trainend in dusting by the one and only Alaundo.

Id second that, my fellow Learned Scribe! I would loved to have seen this project come to light, the thought of huge bound encyclopedias on my shelf had me drooling! Rumor has it that WotC saw the project costing around $1m to get to production. I dont know if they had some bespoke software to deal with the submissions but the format of the documents was somewhat to be desired, there was a lot of garbage that would have needed to be filtered out.

::drool:: Ah the endless tomes of lore, containing up to the last scrap of detail dredged up from Ed Greenwoods famous box-crammed cellar...

OTOH... if the paper version would cost too much, the electronic media (DVD series?) could be an acceptable compromise...
