Do Douglas Niles' firbolgs have a 3ed equivalent? 3ed seems to have adopted Denning's take on firbolgs from the Twilight Giants. Niles' description of them early on in the series sounds more like fomorians, and the Moonshaes clearly have a Celtic feel, could he have confused the firbolgs and fomorians from Irish mythology?

He did actually. I can't find the quote about it but I remember this and it was an error. They should have been formians, but he named them firbolgs. :)

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Thanks Kuje, I had a feeling you'd know. That has been driving me crazy ever since I started reading the series.

It did for me as well until I found the quote online. I believe it came from the FR mailing list, but they changed the mailing list and I can't search for it since I'm not signed up.
