Hey there,

I'm starting up another Forgotten Realms adventure after being away for about 3 years(real time). I did some research and found a very detailed timeline at http://www.o-love.net/realms/. At around 1370 D.R. I noticed that the Sythillisian Empire emerged out of the Small Teeth to bring war on Amn; taking out Imnescar and Trademeet and then moving on to besiege the port city of Murann. My question is what source does this information come from? Is it from a FR accessory book or a novel? I'm interested in learning more about these events.

Thanks, Szrachnor

The details can be found in Lands of Intrigue and I think maybe Empires of the Shining Sea. Both are 2e supplements.

You can also search through Steven Schend's assorted replies here at Candlekeep as he has discussed these particular aspects in the past...

Szrachnor,

I urge you to go to the downloads site on Wizards of the Coast and download the Lands of Intrigue box set. The events you are asking about are discussed in this material and it is free to download. (I keep it on my Flash Drive so I can read it on breaks at work) The Sythillisian Empire is being led by two Ogre Mages. I really look forward to WotC expounding on this storyline.

Szrachnor,

I just checked my copy of Lands of Intrigue, I thought I remembered that the two ogre mages were being influenced by an evil organization active in Amn, Tethyr and Calimshan. The Twisted Rune set the events in motion to start the current strife in Amn. This is the same organization that the Vampire in Master of Chains belongs to. This group includes quite a few liches and undead...

Also, THO has dropped hints that the Realms may be revisiting this conflict....
