Hey everyone, this is really my first attempt at a post, so be gentle please.
I was posting on the midnight masks book club area, and received a reply from Mr. Kemp about a character in his book. Her name is( or actually was) Olma Kulenvov, the highest-ranking priestess of Cyric, in the tower of Eternal eclipse. She seemed, to me, to be a very interesting character, that might need some future looking into. I see her as an attractive middle age woman, with black hair( maybe a grey streak or two) and green eyes, with a slim figure just now starting to show her years. Her rank would suggest to me that she is of moderate level in game terms, and able to handle her own, in most cases.
Anyways, what I was thinking was, is there any interest in finding out about other minor characters in the realms, who had minor parts in novels, but met there demise before we really got to know who they were. My idea is, we know how these characters met there demise, either timely or otherwise, but how did they "live".
I can imagine a prelude to a book, with the characters last encounter in life, then the first chapter starting with... say 14 years earlier, said character is just starting out as in my example, a fledgling priestess to Cyric. I think this could lead to something, but let me know your thoughts.
over the years, I have read about many valiant realms characters, as well as villians, who could have made very interesting stories within themselves.

Well, you're in a good place here at Candlekeep.
My best suggestion is to ask those folks who've created and/or developed the characters in question.
I've no idea if Olma was one of my creations in LOI or if Paul created her or not, but I'm sure he'd tell you more about her, as she's in his book. He's friendly like that. |

Well, a search in Acrobat of Lands of Intrigue produces zilch, nor can I found her in the Lords of Darkness write-up of the towers. |
There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist. Terry Pratchett |

I'm not sure if he counts as a minor character, but I was curious why Janifane the spider mage was abscent from the WOTSQ series. As far as I have read he's supposed to be Arch Tiriniths arcane magic advisor and has a level equal to or greater then Gromph Baenre. Not to mention that he interfered with Zaknafien in "Realms of the Underdark" or was it "Realms of Infamy"? |
Its easy not to care what people think, it harder to try! |

Olma Kulenov the Bloody was a NE 11th lvl cleric (LoD). She despised Blackwill and wanted to kill him and take command of both towers. I don't think that more info on her exists. |

I took Olma from the write up of the Towers in "Lords of Darkness."
Scererar, I'm pleased you found the character of some interest.
