I've been pondering for quite some time the purchase of most of the FR campaign material based in d20, but have decided to stay with older editions. My question is how much material is redundant in relation to all the older supplements, and would the money spent be worth any new realmslore inside each one? I don't really care for the crunch of each product, as I ignore it and am focusing on the realmslore itself. So, given the number of main FR supplements released so far for d20, how many and which ones would you recommend for me to get for purely realmslore content then I already own (since I own it all from 1e/2e)? Thanks.

| Plenty of new stuff in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting too, if you only have 2ed-stuff before. Same goes for almost all books except Player's Guide to Faerūn (which does include a very useful up date of the cosmology, though), and possibly (not sure on how much info there is in 2ed) Unapproachable East, Magic of Faerūn (which, let's face it, is mainly a rules book) and Underdark. |
There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.
