I was hoping for some help with identifying some long term goals. I have skimmed over the "military forces of Cormyr". I see mysenf heading the Purple Dragon Knight route. I kinda got my feats mapped out, but wanted some suggestions. This is going to be a "heavy" role-playing campaign. Are there other documents that detail the history and type of society of Cormyr? Thanks in advance.
Oh..I plan on adapting the "Iron Code of Druss" as a personal code. It seems to fit a NG warrior very well. Here is my character in detail

Trahearne
Born: Year of the Lost Helm (1304 CR / 1329 DR)
Birthplace: Arabel
Age: 16
Race: Human
Description: 6’8” – 280lb – Brown - Brown
Personality: Brave, Aggressive, Introvert, Honorable, Leader, Physical
Class/Align: Fighter - NG

Trahearne was raised in Arabel by his stepfather Orundur, owner of The Old Warrior inn. His mother, Branwen, died in childbirth. She had only worked at the inn for 7 months yet Orundur took her child and raised Trahearne as his own. Orundur believes that Branwen came from the south of Cormyr; perhaps Suzail or Marsember. Loyal to his stepfamily, Trahearne worked hard at the Inn as he grew. However, it was clear to all as he got older that his temperament was not that of an Innkeeper. Rather than let him run with Arabel’s rabble and fearing the undisciplined militia, Orundur called in a favor from Lionar Dorgrin of the Arabel Purple Dragon garrison. Trahearne quickly directed his energies into becoming a soldier and on his 15th birthday earned the rank of Blade in the Purple Dragons.

Motivation: Driven to make his mark in the world.

Social: Normal with Family and Kin, Loyal and Obedient to his betters, Fair with equals and underlings, Protective of children, Cautious with Strangers, No special reaction to other races,

Virtues and Flaws: Defender of the weak, unwaveringly brave, but a short temper is often his undoing.

The following may be of use to you

Cormyr A Novel by Ed greenwood (Covers the entire history of Cormyr)

Beyond the High road and Death of the Dragon cover the recent uphevels in Cormyr and Azoun IV death (in which the city of Arabel was sacked)

Arabel also features in the last book of the Troy Dennings Return of the Arch Wizards trilogy

There are a couple of Dragon articles which detail Cormyr after Azouns death

“I am the King of Rome, and above grammar”

Emperor Sigismund

"Its good to be the King!"

Mel Brooks

Check the Age and Date of Birth...this game's taking place before the time of the Old Gray Box.

Yes...the GM is picking that time I think, in the hopes of running us through all the important events...

Wasn't there a 2E product put out on Cormyr? It might be available at RPGNow.com or Paizo.com. Those might have a more indepth history of the Realm.

Still rockin' the Fey'ri style.

Well, Cormyr: a Novel would still work - of course, Patman will have to promise to only read the historical bits

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

Two 2E sources on Cormyr are available for download as PDFs from the WotC site. The two sources are "Four From Cormyr" and "Volo's Guide to Cormyr." The site is http://wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/downloads

Just remember that the first is actually an adventure, and therefore does not carry as much informative details on Cormyr as the VGtC or the 2e Cormyr supplement Wooly just mentioned.

Your best bet for lore on Cormyr remains the two actual sourcebooks and anything Ed (or Garen Thal) may have posted here at Candlekeep in the past.
