Well, in several hours, I'll be heading out to spend Thanksgiving in New Hampshire. It's my first non-hurricane induced vacation in a couple of years...
I'll be checking the Keep one more time before I go. After that, my limited time online will be spent checking email, and not much more...
So y'all behave while I'm gone. And everyone have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, Oh Wooly One. *says Kajehase who thinks that considering who the pilgrims were, it's the Europeans who should celebrate* |

Quick! While he isn't looking, did anyone see where he put The Hooded One's leash?
Happy Thanksgiving (says I who just had my in-laws this last weekend and will be seeing my family next week.)

Thanks, folks.
I'm home now, and trying to catch up on 10 days of missed internet...
It was cold up there... I was loving it! Particularly on Thursday morn, when it was snowing... Snow may not sound all that special to some, but I've not seen it since 2001. It doesn't even freeze down here all that oft...
It was in the 20's and 30's up there, but now that I'm home, I'm seeing people walk around in shorts. So it's a shift. I miss the cold weather already. |

Welcome back Wooly. |

There were some funny bits here and there... While we were up there, I spent a lot of time playing with my nephew (he turned 6 yesterday) and my niece (she's 4). My girlfriend spent some time playing with them, too...
Today, my step-mom called my sister to let her know we'd gotten home safely. My sister put both of the little ones on the phone, so they could speak to their grandmother. My nephew immediately wanted to talk to me, not her. And my niece wanted to talk to my girlfriend, not my step-mom.
Another bit: the other day, Allie and I were playing with the kids. We were on the floor, playing with Play-Doh. Somehow, Allie managed to sit on some small bits of Play-Doh. This was not noticed until hours later, after it had dried on her jeans. I was working on removing Play-Doh from her back pocket when my nephew Adriaen noticed a bit that I'd not seen. He decided to help by removing that piece of Play-Doh. His finger was a mere inch from a prime piece of real estate when I intercepted it and told him I'd take care of it. |

Glad to see you back Wooly, you departed just when the new Songs and Swords series novel was announced... |
