In one of my adventures, PCs encountered an NPC named Tchazzar, an instructor in thieves' guild and in fact a multicolored dragon. After a good while I saw a sidebar in FRCS, where a legend about dragon-ruler (and now god) of , IIRC, Chessenta, who was also named Tchazzar. And, while scrolling through Lords of Darkness recently, I saw (in the description of house Karanok) that "Unknown to the Karanoks, the power of Entropy is admin¬istered by Tiamat, the deity behind the venerated hero Tchazzar. "
Can anyone explain to me, who Tchazzar really was (or is)?

| Tchazzar was a red dragon that wanted to be a god. He took the form of a human and became a great hero in Chessenta, then dissappeared, hoping that he would be worshipped as a god. Eventually many Chessentans worshipped him, and he got what he wanted, but Tiamat, wanting to gain a foothold in Chessenta, killed him and started providing spells for his faithful. |

Tchazzar was the ruler of Chessenta using a human form, of course. Let me see if I remenber about the rest...
When Gilgeam killed Tiamat in their first battle her powers were divided betwen three dragons, one of then the ruler of Chessenta. He didn't lose the chance and tryed to become a god, first he transformed himself into a legend* (to gain some followers later)and then he hunted the others two dragons, killed them and consumed their flesh to gain the others two parts of Tiamat's power.
With the her power whole Tiamat was able to come back from the astral plane and become again active in Fâerun. And crazy to have her revenge upon Gilgeam. And Tchazzar is no more.
*As Chessenta ruler he managed to conquist and unificate Chessenta (if I remeber well). Later he alone went to fight a army of lizard man, I think, and never came back but appearations of his started to be seeing along the nation. |
