The Cormanthyr sourcebook has a lot of what you are after. It's a free download here:

The Fall of Myth Drannor has some lore as well. Lost Empires of Faerun for 3.5e has a little.

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Additionally, see Steven Schend's replies here at Candlekeep. He discusses many aspects of Myth Drannor with frequent regularity... all it takes is a little prodding .

His compiled replies can be found on the mainsite -- "So Saith Ed".

Prodding gets you the bare minimum. If you want really good answers, send lovely young women with the ability to deliver incredible deep tissue massages, and we'll see what secrets I'll divulge....

Indeed I would reveal secrets I didn't know with such a "help"
