I would say Bruenor. But like peop,e have said, if they met, they might become best friends or bad enemies and we would never know for sure who could be the winner without a true contest between them. |

Gimli would put a good fight but in the end Bruenor would win' he is to stubborn to quit so I think he would wear Gimli down. |

i think that Bruenor would win from battle smarts this would not be a battle of strength because they are so equal. I have read alot about both of them and they are both amoung my fav. chacters. again hats off to Gimli for a long hard fight but the belt would have to go to Bruenor. |

Bruenor Battlehammer.Salvatore might be the reason.Anyone who read "Siege of Darkness" will remember the scene when the "King" killed the "Queen".And understand what "rage" means.A dwarf is bull-headed.Bruenor "is" a bull himself. All I can see after the duel is that leader of Clan Battlehammer walking away from the scene trying to clean his face.Cursing himself because he couldn't have finished his job cleaner(Sure I am not counting Bruenor's nature. He wouldn't do anything like that, killing someone from his race.)Gimli,no chance.sorry... |

YES this is the same post as before...
I wonder which fruit would win in a fight...
an apple or an orange.
It is impossible to tell, because Salvatore's books features detailed fighting. J.R.R. Tolkein was a Linguist proffeseur, he did not write detailed fighting segments, instead he concentrated on cultural aspects and myth. Perhaps if we were given a bit more information about Legolas's fighting we could come up with an answer to this pointless question.
