Instead of the usual Tuesday Realmlore, it appears we have a new feature: Waterdeep News. I'm hoping they push this one the way they've been pushing the Eberron one.
The first article, South Ward Cobbler Finds Rubies is by the esteemed Mr. Greenwood.
Man, I hope this feature lasts for several years!

Oooh! This is great... news!
When I finally do get my Waterdeep campaign back up and running I'm going to make use of this material.
THO... What can you tell us about this new feature? Will it be ongoing with frequent updates?

Hi. Yes, I'm back, and Ed got back late, late last night. I haven't talked to him yet, but I do know Wizards is sitting on thousands of words of Waterdeep "news items" by Ed, and has been sitting on them for years. I have no idea if this is going to be an "only by Ed" feature - - but if they use only Ed's stuff, I'd say they have a year's worth of one-a-week entries on hand already. love to all, THO |

Yes indeed... I like the sound of "thousands of words" regarding the news of Waterdeep ! It reminds me of the good ol' days of the SIGIS ezine which featured exclusive news material for the City of Doors... .
If it's not an "Ed-only" piece though, I wonder who else will be involved?

No,
THO is female and one of the Knights of Myth Drannor who was/is a player in Ed's campaign. And no, we are not telling you which Knight she is and nor will she. :) |

You know what I miss? When it used to give the weather report in Waterdeep. I would actually use that in my Waterdeep game.. it kind of kept me honest! :)

Man, they snuck another one by me... That wasn't there early this morn, my time.
Well, was early this morn in my time when I see it (08:00 a.m.) But stay calm, my furry friend. It was a real rarity the fact that I have beat you with a so great time space...
Hey, it is only me, or someone more like to see this article named as one of the famous broadcryers of Waterdeep? Straigth Talk from the Docks, or the Wazoo? This will be a great touch for the article.

Hmmm... I'm wondering, has anyone made use of the tidbits mentioned in these news articles for a Waterdeep campaign (or perhaps used them in some other city [with appropriate alterations])?

I will be when the PC in my email game returns to Waterdeep. Since it's the beginning of winter, he decided to head south to Calimshan, Amn, Tethyr with the nobles. |

That's cute. :) I enjoy cosmetics in real life, so I like seeing them used in the Realms. |

Even ones that makes your face glow? Says Kajehase whose only experience of using cosmetics is painting a moustache on for a school-play and therefore should remain quiet on the subject (although there was this girlfriend of mine (some 14 years or so ago) who had a strawberry-tasting lipstick she'd use sometimes...*turns dreamy* |

You know... There's plenty of ways a reply to this question could go . But since I know a certain "Master Moderator" (who just happens to be wielding the mighty +5 Staff of the Irritated Moderator) is lurking somewhere in the shadows right behind me... I think I'll leave the more creative replies to individual imaginations .

Why on her lips, of course. Is there somewhere else such products can be placed, my lady? *innocent look*
