I don't know about you all, but the Warlock class just has no appeal for me. The system is kind of like a min/max spell shooting one with no real calling. Plus, it's weird to make a base class that generally has such an evil overtone - limits those players that may want to play it.

I know that many of the new classes weren't that impressive, but that one is clearly no good.

Your opinions?

Still rockin' the Fey'ri style.

When I first saw this, I thought you were asking me something.

Haven't used it myself yet, and none of my players so far have expressed interest, so its just kinda out to pasture for me, along with pretty much all the new core classes introduced in the Complete series.

I can readily see using a warlock as an NPC... But not much else beyond that.

Where can you find the warlock?

Is it in Complete Arcane?

I like to think I'm **really** good at fitting new classes and PrC's into the Realms, but I'll be darned if I can find a place for the Warlock.

I suppose the class would work for beings like the Daemon Fey, or those Orc/Demon crossbreeds (I don't remember the creature name...) that bread true.

Aasimars or Teiflings -as well as their offspring- might work too.

09/20/2008: Tiger Army at the Catalyst in Santa Cruz. You wouldn’t believe how many females rode it out in the pit. Santa Cruz women are all of them beautiful. Now I know to add tough to that description.
6/27/2008: WALL-E is about the best damn movie Pixar has ever made. It had my heart racing and had me rooting for the good guy.
9/9/2006: Dave Mathews Band was off the hook at the Shoreline Amphitheater.

Never, ever read the game books too literally, or make such assumptions that what is omitted cannot be. Bad DM form, that.

And no matter how compelling a picture string theory paints, if it does not accurately describe our universe, it will be no more relevant than an elaborate game of Dungeons and Dragons. --paragraph 1, chapter 9, The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene

A dark twisted and weak spellfire? No real clue.
