I figure the scribes here may know this. I know in Nethril: Empire of Magic it stated Karsus was a lich.

As far as I know, that's never been changed. He died as a lich. |

As far as I know, that's never been changed. He died as a lich.
I don't recall any further details after N:EoM in 2e saying otherwise. And there's certainly nothing mentioned in any 3e tome currently.
I'd have to agree with Kuje.
