What is your favorite multi-class, is their any classes that you think go together well.
What do you think?

Well as a Fightermage I am partial to that type of multiclass. It gives you more control of your actions I belive. You also have a better understanding of your world in that you have the insigt of what fighters may think and what mages may think.
Though I guess you could say the same about a FighterCleric as well, but I have never played one so I wont. My answer to your question Vlad is ofcourse a Fighter Mage. |

I'm going to say Fighter/Cleric. Their almost identicle to Paladins and you don't have to be Lawful Good (unless that changed in 3e). |

A fighter/mage or a ranger/mage for fighting and spell casting during a battle |

Now can a player be a Ranger/Mage. I was trying to argue that fact with a friend of mine. We both play 2E and not the 3E. In the 2E PHB it says that a player can be a Ranger/Cleric. Of course I argued the fact that the PHB was a guideline and not gospel but I lost since he was the DM.
It is off topic but can a Ranger be a Mage as well? |

I play by 3e and I am not as familiar with 2e. |

In 2nd edition, if your DM allows, why not. In 3rd edition, yes that is very well possible
(and by itself an interesting though unusual combination come to think of it...) |

I think that a rogue/mage would be the best multiclass because it would give your character the power of arcane spellcasting, thieving abilities like picking pockets and opening locks, and some fighting skills. That's just MHO. |
