Greetings and hail to everyone! Well, to be straight:
I had been thinking about the current status of the Chosen of Mystra since they had been involved in a lot of missions and events that it ixs quite difficult for me to keep track of where they are and are they dead or not. So I thank anyone who could enlighten me on this.

Also, there had been rumors that several of Telamont Tanthul's sons dead and some still alive but status unclear.
I would greatly appreciate any help to enlighten me on these issues.

I don't think any of the Chosen have died in several years, since Syluné died while defending Shadowdale.

As for their wherabouts, that's a more difficult proposition. While a lot of them are more often found in certain locales (Storm and Elminster in Shadowdale, The Simbul in Aglarond, Qilué at the Promenade outside of Skullport, Alustriel in Silverymoon, etc), almost all of them have the ability to flit across the Realms at a moment's notice to deal with situations there. And certain ones tend to use that ability quite a lot.

To use Elminster as an example... I'd imagine that in any given day, he hits two or three spots in Cormyr and Sembia, stirs up an intrigue or two on the Sword Coast, drops by Myth Drannor, goes to half a dozen ruins to hide scrolls and magical items, annoys a Zhent or several, deals with a dire threat that no one else will even know about, spends some time with the Simbul, and -- if he has any time after all that -- stops at his tower to grab a bite to eat.

Hey Wooly, don't forget that they visit the planes and other worlds, annoy Ed, visit Earth while annoying Ed, Elminster can also travel in time here on Earth since his retreat in space goes to the grand canyon circa 1850ish, annoy Ed, etc. :)

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird

Isn't it Yellowstone, 1896?

Oh, and you forgot to mention annoying Ed.

Indeed. He's visited Krynn at least twice to confer with both Raistlin and Palin. I even think he met Dalamar once...

Now, who is this Ed fellow that everyone keeps mentioning?...

I'm guessing it's one of the FR-designers, Ed Bonny.

There is a rumour going around that I have found god. I think is unlikely because I have enough difficulty finding my keys, and there is empirical evidence that they exist.

Um, excuse me. I believe Defender had mentioned a question about the status of Telamont's sons, I also would like to know the status of each of the 12 sons of Telamont too. Does anyone know what happened to these men?

By the way, can I inquire how old are the Chosen right now? And officially, how many Chosen of Mystra are there in Faerun?"

Hmm, what is the Simbul true name and how did she get the title "Simbul" from?

Alassra Silverhand is her real name and the word "Simbul" means "watchful warrior-wizard" in the ancient Aglarondan language. Be wary of her wrath.

In addition, "the Simbul," was the name of a goddess worshipped by the elves in Aglarond "a few years ago."

As for their age, seeing as the timeline does move on (and I'm not good at math when I'm just awake), I'll settle for giving you their birthyears as given in the Seven Sisters.

Syluné - 761 DR
Alustriel - 762 DR
Dove Falconhand - 763 DR
Storm Silverhand - 764 DR
Laeral - 765 DR
the Simbul - 766 DR
Qilué Veladorn - 767 DR.
(All born during the winter).

These are the canon Chosen of Mystra that have been named:

Elminster
Storm Silverhand
Laeral Silverhand
Alustrial Silverhand
Qilue Veladorn
Sylune Silverhand
Khelben Arunson
Dove Falconhand
The Simbul
Noumea Drathchuld (the last current magister, before the current magister Talatha Vaerovree of Innarlith was raised to the office)
Alvaerele Tasundrym (She was the Magister back in 576 to 592DR. She's called the Silent Chosen and most have no idea she exists. She guards things the old Mystra wanted to keep secret, like where the Srinshee sleeps. She also makes sure to keep human, half-elven, and elven family trees up to date so they don’t become lost)
Symrustar Auglamyr
The Srinshee
Embrae Aloevan of Ardeep
Sammaster (ExChosen)
Nadrathen, the Rebel Chosen (deceased)

You could also arguably add Raumark of Halruaa (see "Temptation of Elminster") as he is showcased in that part of the novel that depicts those that have struggled to cope with Mystra's blessings.

They are obviously fan creations. Did you find these via an internet search, Shadovar?

Yes, they are fan creations. I just came across them myself as part of a online campaign based just after the Time of Troubles.

Great Reader Kuje,

I love the idea of picturing the Old Mage appearing all of a sudden while at the Grand Canyon with my family! hahaha

So very cool!
